Re: How much fat do I need to eat?

    Hi Heavy,

If you haven't read Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, 2002 edition, then do so right away.

The majority of your daily carbs should be from the allowed vegetables. So be sure to get those in. By the way, "vegetables" are not limited to lettuce. You are allowed a wide variety of vegetables on Atkins.

You might also want to post your menu in the "review my menu forum" for the folks there to look at and give you advise.

Good suggestion, Megs so I split the posts and moved them here.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

        Hello again Heavy

To add to what has been said about adding veggies - 3 cups of these per day is the recommended amount as you will find in DANDR or the stickies on this board - try to sprwead them out across your meals and snacks. This will keep you at a stable level and not trigger 'spikes' of insulin.

Always have some fat, some protein and some carbs at each meal. We are supposed to get over half of our up to 20 net carbs from our veggies.
