  • Preplanned induction day menu

Thanks for all the advice i really appreciate it. I did what everyone told me and set up an account with fitday.com, i'm trying to preplan my menu so i can go shopping and precook all my food. My first menu is this:

    Breakfast:
    2 eggs
    1/4 cup of heavy cream
    1/2 cup diced tomatoes
    1 ounce gratted cheddar cheese
    3 strips of bacon

    Lunch:
    1 large chicken breast(sliced)
1 1/2 cups of romaine lettece
2 tbs of creamy ceasar dressing(an approved one of course)
    1 ounce grated cheddar cheese

    Dinner:
    1 medium steak
    1 cup cooked asparagus(steamed)
    2 tbs butter

    Snack: Deviled eggs
    2 large eggs
    1 tbs mayo

    80 oz(+) water
    1 multi-vitamin

Now the totals from fitday.com are:
    Calories:2212
    Fat:65%
    Carb:4%
    Protein:31%
    Carbs: 24g

I have a few more questions related too this menu and fitday.com. If my carb intake is only 4% why am i ending with 24 g of carbs, is there something wrong on the menu. Also does anyone know how many ounces 3 slices of bacon actually is? i assumed around 2oz. Thanks again

    Hi wannabmrsb
Your menu looks good to me. Well done

As to the carbs - have you deducted the fibre carbs from the total?

You will have to weigh the bacon or if you havent got weighing scales take the total weight of the pack of bacon and divide it by the number of slices in the pack to see how heavy one slice is.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
