  • Day 6, made it thru the weekend

    I made it through the Bucs playoffs and only had skinless chicken wings and water!

    Sunday I made ribs in the crockpot and spinach

    Today:

    B-hot lemon water
    2 oz. swiss cheese
    2 hd. boiled eggs

    L- 2 cups mixed salad no dressing, shredded chicken breast

    D- .5 cup cauliflower steamed , w/1 T. butter
    beef stew meat, .5 cup brocoli florets

    I measure everything, pack my lunch and go to bed by 9pm so no snacking after dinner..I feel my appetite dwindling..but no energy??? yet.

    Hi fllowcarber

    congratulations on getting through the playoffs on-plan

    Weigh to go

    I noticed your lunch looked a bit low-fat.

    We need to always eat fat with our carbs and protein, so you could have had some full-fat dressing (choose one with as little sugar as you can find).
    Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

      I agree with Elizellen...it looks low on fat.
      Are you using Fitday? It's a wonderful free tool that's very helpful. Give this a read and give it a try.

            Re: Day 6, made it thru the weekend

            Good job on making it through the weekend. Weekdays are always easier for me because I follow a schedule. Weekends are much less structured and I get behind on water and eating on time.

              That still looks very low on fat. Use some butter on your spinach, grate some cheese on it as well.
              Is the teriyaki sauce a low-carb version? If not, ditch it, because it contains sugars. Don't get into the mind set that 'just a drizzle won't hurt'...because a drizzle here and a bite there all add up.

              I'm not understanding the numbers here
              123=fat
              5 = carbs
              70 = protein
              As explained, the numbers you need to shoot for are 65% fat, 30% protein and 5% carbs.
              You got the carbs right on target, but the numbers should all add up to 100, so what's the 123 fat count?

                Re: Day 6, made it thru the weekend

                I think fllowcarber must be listing the total grams of fat/carbs/protein!

                Perhaps if a link to the fitday account was given we could work out the proportions from the little piechart? If I recollect the 'public' link doesnt allow us to see the ratio %s.

                Fllowcarber, if you go to your fitday account and click on the 'home' tab you can then scroll down to a button called something like 'Make my account public'
                Then you will be given a link that you can copy and paste here to let us look at your actual entries of food.
