          Re: How am I doing??

Go to the main page at fitday and scroll down a little bit. There'll be a link or something that says how to make your fitday public. Just follow the directions and you'll be able to share your food journal.

              Re: How am I doing??

              Yep it works!
Ok...to start, bologna can be full of sodium and nitrates, so don't eat too much of it, and when you do, drink lots of water to flush that salt out.
Try to be more specific when it comes to what type of cheese you're eating. Was it cheddar, monterey jack, mozarella? or was it 2 slices of a processed cheese food (which is not allowed). If it was just a regular cheese, that's great, but there are some cheeses that aren't legal at this point.
The listing you chose for the pork chop says it was breaded or floured...both no-no's and the carb count for it is 16! Considering pork is 0 carbs, those 16 are totally from the coating...yikes!
Try coating pork chops in finely grated parmesan cheese or crushed pork rinds with some dried rosemary..yum! The carb count should only be one or two if you do it that way.
(I'm thinking that your chops might not have been coated, but you just chose the incorrect description when you entered them here.....yes?)

Veggies...remember there are more veggies in the world to make a salad from than just plain lettuce. Also, specify what kind of lettuce you had. Choose dark leafy greens like romaine or spinach instead of iceberg..which is little more than chewy water.
When I make a salad, only about 1/4 of it is lettuce and the rest is peppers, cucumber, mushrooms, zucchini and so on. It's tastier, and more nutritious.

Watch how much pork rinds you eat, as they are quite full of sodium too and can cause you to retain water. There are lots of atkins friendly snacks (check out the food forums) and they are better for you than pork rinds.

To sum up, cut down on sodium rich foods, be more specific when entering your foods into Fitday (it can take time to do this, but it's time well spent) and make sure you have the correct listing and amount chosen.

You're kinda sorta on the right track though, and every day is a new opportunity to fine tune things!

                Re: How am I doing??

Moochiecat has given you great advice on your menu - but I wanted to ask you - was that amount enough for you not to be hungry ?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

                    Re: How am I doing??

I have hungry days and not so hungry days even now, 2 years into it. I think it has to do with hormones a lot of the time, so think about where your cycle plays into this.

I also find that if I'm at home alone, I tend to graze all day, so I have to really watch myself and pay attention to what I'm eating, or I can over eat just from boredom.
