  • Today for Breakfast

Time for school! I probably won't be able to eat lunch at school so I ate a big breakfast!

    3 eggs w/ 0 carb cheese
3 turkey sausages(they were like sausage but made with turkey)
    A glass of water

    Everything looks good right?

Looks very good, Anjelique. Just a couple of questions for you.......

How mych and what type of cheese was it? As there is a limit of cheese intake. Also was there a carb count on the sausages?

I ask, becasue in England our sausages are full of "fillers" making them ilegal on Atkins.

Secondly, it is very important that you dont go 6 waking hours without eating something, so I would strongly recommend that you take a little something to school with you to nibble on.

Thank you, the sausage had 0 carbs, and the cheese was american cheese I put a half of slice, and it has 0 carbs.

Cheese generally has some carbs in it, though it will say no carbs, that means it has less .5 g per serving. Most people go ahead and count it as one carb per serving. Just in case. I love american cheese in the morning too. Nice mild way to start the day. Just watch that it is cheese and not cheese food.

Also, try and work some veggies into breakfast. Spreading your carbs throughout the day will prevent a crash and burn, say if you eat all your veggies at lunch, it may cause a blood sugar spike and make you crave in the afternoon. Also veggies in the morning, eaten with a little protein and fat will help on those days it will be a little while before you can eat. Like at school. Tucking a few snackies in your purse wouldn't be a bad idea for days when you think legal foods may be hard to find. Some celery sticks in a ziplock, or a couple of olives, string cheese... Hope this helps!! Keep up the good work!
