  • Today's Meals

    Hi Everyone;
It's 10:50 am here and I'm getting ready for work. (LOL sitting in front of the puter.) Work menus can be challenging because most of the staff either get take out, or cook their meals in our kitchen. So I have been bringing in most of my meals (except for Jack in the Box side salad, minus crutons and carrots and dressing)
    Here's my menu today
Breakfast: 1 millanesa fried in olive oil. (beef minute steak)
2 c. coffee ( I have not yet taken this out of my diet)

Lunch: Chicken breast cut up with left over broccoli and
    colliflower w/
    cheddar cheese.
    My 1 qt. water bottle

Snack 1 serving Avant low carb drink (intake carbs 1)

Dinner: 1 can chicken broth with the rest of the chicken breast
    added
    Weird chicken soup I guess.
Refill on my 1 qt water bottle

When I get home close to 10 pm, I'm usually cold and need something warm in me, so it's a cp of herbal tea or coffee.

I know I will take the coffee from my diet little by little.
p.s. I've been having the runs today, maybe from the near 2 qts of water I had yesterday, maybe other stuff. Immodium, here i come.

    love and prayers

    Hi patty

Did you eat all your veggies at the one meal? It is better to spread them out through the day to even out sugar spikes.

You may be having the runs because of lack of fibre if you only had the one allowed cup of 1-cup veggies.

Although it seems that 2 quarts of water is a lot, it is really only the bare minimum that everyone should drink.

You need to drink another 1/2 pint (8 fluid ounces) for every 25 pounds of weight you want to lose - which would be about 48 fluid ounces on top of the 64 ounces you are already drinking.

Maybe have another bottle at breakfast?

BTW what are the ingredients of the Avant drink - is it a high protein one?

Remember, Atkins is not a high protein 'diet' but a high fat medium protein, low carb way of eating. We aim at 65% fat/30% protein/ 5% carbs on induction and then keep our protein at that percentage throughout our Atkins way of life, dropping the fat as we add carbs.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
