  • Review my Menu Please!!!

    This is basically what I eat.

    Breakfast: 2 egg whites,or a ham and cheese omlete or somthing similar. An occasional glass of milk.
    Lunch: a chicken breast, or pork chop, or piece of steak, or salmon, or shrimp
    Snack: a piece of string cheese (one to three piecess a day, depending on hunger)
    Dinner: A piece of steak, chicken breast, fish, and somtimes a piece of string cheese, veggies, or salad (again depending on hunger).

    all I drink is water...usually a gallon a day.

    let me know what you guys think! Thanks all tips pointers and opinions welcome!!!!

    Well it depends on what Way of eating you are following. If you are following Atkins do you have the 2002 version of DANDR? If not you should get and read it. You will get the best results following it to the lettter. Until then milk is not allowed and 3 cups of vegis is required in a day.

      Have you read Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, version 2002 (DANDR for short)?

      If not, do yourself a favour and give it a good read so you know how to do Atkins correctly.
      What you are doing appears to be low-carb, but it's not Atkins.
      On Atkins we eat at least 3 cups of veggies during induction(and we spread them out through the day), we eat the whole egg, milk is not allowed until later on in the diet, and cheese is limited to 3 or 4 ounces a day.

      Again, my best advice to you is to get the book, give it a good read and understand the how and why of the diet. You're on the right track, but that isn't quite Atkins.

        Congratulations on drinking your water

        Everyone has given you good advice here, so all I will add is that until you have read DANDR you can get some ideas on how to refine your menus by going to the FAQ section on ADBB (click on the link in the set of links at the top of the board called 'FAQs') and read the ones with the word 'induction' in them.

        This will give you the rules of induction and the list of allowed foods from which to choose your menus.

          Thanks guys..... I shall read the book. Perhaps that is why I have hit a platue. Now I think I can get over it and heading toward my goal. THanks again!!!!!

            Especially with the egg thing, since fat is supposed to be twice as much as the amount of protein you take in, I'd think you would get better results leaving the yolk in.

            Looks like everyone covered the rest ^_^
