  • I think i have an overeating problem...?

    Oh wow...this is what i ate all day...what do ya'all say about it?

    -atkins cafe au lait shake
    -handful of plain pork rinds
    -marble cheese string
    -cucumber with cream cheese
    -4 strips of turkey bacon
    -2 strips of microwave bacon
    -whole bage of bbq pork rinds
    -2 atkins advantage almondie brownie bar
    -2 atkins advantage pnut butter bar
    -4 schneider teraki chicken wings
    -atkins strawberry shake
    -1 baby bell cheese
    -cucumber with dip
    -4 olives
    -3 strips of microwave bacon

    and tons of water

    Im on my third day of induction! second time around...alcohol got the best of me last time

    The Atkins products are more than likely going to do you in. They really stall out so many people here, you would not believe! I won't get to harping on them but I will say this: My 1st time on what I thought was Atkins looked alot like your menu there. And it did not end very nicely. Clean induction with whole foods is the best way to kick the cravings, detox your system, prepare you body and mind for something you will be able to do for the longhaul. All right, I'll leave it at that.

    Limit your cheese to 3 ounces...maybe you did. I can't exactly tell.

    Did you check the label on the teryaki wings? Teryaki usually is prepared with sugar. Just check on it.

    Mostly it seems like 'grazing' food rather than meals. I think that is a hard habit to break so induction is the prime time to go for it! Sit down with your food on a plate whenever possible and stop when you are full.

      Yes, stay away from the shakes and the bars!!! The first time I did Induction I used them and only lost three pounds during the first two weeks!!!!

      The next time I did Induction without the shakes and bars I lost 14 pounds within the first two weeks.

      A BIG difference, don't you think?

      So, obviously, they can cause a stall.

        One thing about the Atkins products...DANDR 2002 doesn't mention them that much, but Atkins Essentials limited them to 2 servings per day.

        Did you eat 3 cups of cucumber? Because that is the only vegetable I see listed on your menu.

          Thank you so much guys! I really appreciate the feedback!

          Yeh, surprisingly the wings are fine...their one carb per every 5 wings..their so good!
          I'm pretty sure i ate 3 cups of cucumber...i judge approximately but always try and overestimate bc i dont have measuring tools.
          About the shakes and bars....wow...I wasted a lot of money buying a whole bunch of those atkins products...particularly the shakes and bars because i thought those were the only bunch u could hav during induction...thank you sooo much for letting meknow about the stalling. I'll stear clear next time i start induction now...see last nite i got a little discouraged when i realized how much it couldve affected my stall that i just gave up and bought sour patch candies and a haagan daz bar...im really embarassed, but i thought id share because everyone is so open and supportive on here. I really appreciate that atmosphere, thanks for the responses! I'll prolly get back on tomorrow...but i feel ive been suffereing from depression for the past year so things have always prevented me from taking care of myself, maybe thats an excuse i duno, but i do believe in this diet so ill start soon, i believe in all of you! Keep up the awesome work everyone!

            Start right now!!! Don't put it off, it is worth it! Once you get control of your eating, you will start to feel better about yourself. I was fat and depressed when I found ADBB, and now only 3 weeks later, I am 14 pounds thinner and I have control of what I eat. You must exercise, it helps with weight loss and depression.
            Please, get a fitday account and get back on the plan. You are worth it, you deserve to be healthy and happy and thin!!
            What would we do without it?

              You just gotta Do it!! Even if you don't feel like it..go back to induction. Get on the boards as much as you can and read read read, it will get you back into the right mindframe!! Nothing tastes as good as thin feels!! Those sourpatches are only gonna make you fatter...now put em down!! huggs!

                Your problem to me seems to be snacking...everything there looks like a snack to me.

                Try fixing meals with larger portions for awhile...you might find the non stop snacking will stop.
