  • Help! Need advice on my menus.

    I restarted Atkins on 3/12 after being away for a year and a half. This is day #12 and my scale is not cooperating. I plan on measuring on Sunday at two week marker, but am very depressed today as the scale is still only registering 2# loss as of day 12 (actually today it said 1#, but I'm ignoring that reading so as not to get to depressed).

    Can anyone look at my menu and make some suggestions? I am exercising at least every other day either bicycling, weightlifting, step aerobics, etc. I am drinking approx. 90 oz. of water a day. Only Splenda used was in the pumpking I had. I know I had 2 frankenfoods (a shake and a bar, but it was an emergency decision rather than hitting a fast food place).

    All suggestions are welcome!!!!! Yes, I'm not as "regular" as I should be, but can't find a plumber that works!

    Are your ratios 65%fat, 30%protean, and 5% carbs? It looked to me like maybe your protean is a bit high. Also, pork rinds always make me stall. Also, you can't have milk on Induction (the hood product). Do you take any vitamins?
    What would we do without it?

      Yes, taking basic 3 and essential oils. Also, I make the Hood shake so that I could add my husks in order to get things moving if you know what I mean. I don't care for the fiber supplement mixed with my water - not sure how else to get the plumbing running.

      So I should up my fat content a hair and lower the protein a bit. I know I need a bit more greens in my menus too. Any other suggestions?

        When I use the husks I mix them with mayo and chopped celery as I couldn't stomach them in water!
        Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
        Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

          I buy the husk capsuls at Walmart. I take 3 every day. You want 65% of your diet to be fat. If I stick close to that, and drink my 100oz water a day, I find I lose much better. You are doing good, just keep at it and soon you won't even have to think about it!
          What would we do without it?
