Why Do I Even Try? So fustrated.

  • Why Do I Even Try? So fustrated.

    I thought I did so well with my eating yesterday, only to wake up to another pound up. Please review my menu and let me know if you see anything wrong.

    In extended induction~


    Breakfast-2 egg omelet with cheese and onion wrapped in a low carb wrap (4c)

    Lunch- Whole Can Tuna with egg, onion, dill pickle and mayo over lettuce

    Dinner- Pan fried in Olive Oil PorkChop and bowl of broccoli with butter &
    OliveOil

    Snack - 3 ounces cream cheese sprinkled with 1 1/2 packets splenda

    90 ounces of Water throughout the day



    The day before I woke up l pound heavier and figured okay water weight but I cannot keep thinking this when I feel I am eating right.

    Any thoughts?

    Well theres a few things I can see, but I'm pretty new here,so read others posts too.First, in the Dandr book, you cant have any "low"carb wraps, so eliminate them.Also theres no salad veggies, I only see a few onions added to your meals and a bowl of broccoli.Your to have 1 cup allowed veggies,2 cups salad veggies, or just 3 cup salad veggies.I dont think you had that much, how much is a bowl of broccoli?Did you goto fitday to see how much your eating as far as fat, protein and carbs?Also, I find that sweetners dont let me loose.Hope this helps.

      Atkid, I know about frustration, but you have to stick with it. Your menu looks fine, and I agree with Diva, the low carb wrap isn't on the acceptable list. Whether it is causing your problem is questionable.
      1) It is very common to have a mini stall following induction, You body is just adjusting to the new way of eating.
      2) Are you exercising? Its part of the plan, like a three legged stool, you need all three legs for it to work.
      3) Grab a pair of tight jeans and see if you can get into them. When your not losing weight, sometimes the inches are going. Its a strange part of the diet that blows our minds.
      4) Stay off the scale, it is evil and just causes more frustration.
      5) Do you use fitday. Its a good way to measure your carb intake as well as protein, sodium, exercise etc.
      6) Stay positive!!! You will get thru this. I waited about 5 weeks once and didn;t lose; then one morning the Whoosh Fairy came and I dropped 5 pounds, and the following week, 5 more pounds.

        I thought that lettuce was considered a vegetable. I figured between the
        lettuce bed that I had my tuna salad on (which was probably a good 2 cups of lettuce) and the broccoli that I had met my veggies for the day. Maybe I am wrong about the lettuce. Will go back and review my book. Oh, as far as the wrap my hubby made my breakfast and I thought who was I to look a gift horse in the mouth. LOL! Won't happen again.

        Thats what I need to see that those whooses actually happen. Unfornately, I didn't even get one when I ate my whoosie pie.

          Atkid, you MUST measure!! Measure everything!! You 'think' you had enough veggies, but do you know? I am not trying to be mean, but you have to know what you are eating and the correct amounts.
          You also might be having PISS (Post Induction Stall Syndrome), I didn't lose for two weeks after Induction, then I started losing again. I did lose inches, have you measured? Have you thought about moving on to OWL?
          What would we do without it?



          Mini-goal- 149 by June 1st. I can do it!!!
