  • Stalled.... Help!!!

During my first week of induction I lost 8 lbs. Yay! During my second I lost 0. Boo!!

    A typical day for me:

    1tbs cream in decaf coffee
    2 egg omlette with
1 1/2 oz cheese (monteray jack, or chedder)

1 tbs cream in decaf coffee

2 cups salad veggies. Romain lettuce, celerey, radish, peppers (90% of my salad is comprised of the lettuce though. For example radish will consist of like two to three slices, Celery say one rib of about 2 to 3 inches in length.)
    6 oz of meat.
    1 oz cheese
1 1/2 tbs dressing. I make my own using olive oil, white whine vinegar, spices salt.
1tbs mixed oil (flax seed oil, primrose oil etc.)

    6 oz meat.
1 cup veggies. Sometimes salad veggies in which case I have 1 tbs of dressing. Sometimes the allowed other veggies. Usually fresh spinach.

    Cup of green tea.

I drink at least my min amount of water (64 oz) but usually I go over that.

    Vitamins taken:
    Multivite
    calcium
    vit B complex
    Ester C
1 packet of fish oil.... about 1tbs (does contain stevia)
    1 tbs mixed oil
    Capryllic acid
oregano oil (8 drops as two sets of 4 drops)

I train with a trainer 4 days a week. 1/2 of weights and then at least 40min of cardio. Also do another day of just cardio.

    So WHAT is going on?

I did notice that bacon was the first food that kinda "stopped" me so I have cut that out for now (only had it for two days anyway)

IF I have a snack it is pork rinds, BUT that is limited to 1/4 cup and that is less than twice a week.

Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.

    --Cream can stall
--Coffee can stall (even decaff, in some people)
--Cheese can stall (even though it's legal)
--You might not actually be "stalled" you may be gaining muscle due to strenuous work outs. Try measuring instead of weighing yourself; often you will be losing inches and not see any results on the scale.

Pork Rinds always stall me. Since you are so close to goal, are you moving on to OWL? The extra veggies might help break this 'stall'.
What would we do without it?

      Mini-goal- 149 by June 1st. I can do it!!!

Started this WOL on Feb. 13, 2006.

Thanks. That's an idea. I can use the extra veggies to get in my carbs and then drop the cheese or cream. I can live without the porkrinds as they were only as a treat food anyway.

You're not stalled, this is a normal thing.
Very common to lose in the first week and then not lose, or lose less in the second week. I even wrote a sticky about it in the 14 Day Induction forum:

I will definately go and read that thread.
OK here's another question to add into the mix.... I am pretty sure my period is lurking in the corner. (should have gotten it two weeks ago and NO there is not even the slightest chance that I am preggers) but could that be effecting things as well?

OH yes, the dreaded TOM (time of the month) can definitely cause some water weight gain, bloating ect. He is the culprit a lot of the time! I would wait til it's over and weigh in again, that can certainly be some of the trouble!

                Re: Stalled.... Help!!!

Thanks, Moochie, I read that thread and it helped to calm me down. This board is soooo huge that it is sometimes difficult to find all the info on any given subject! Gonna make an effort to go through and read all the sticky threads.
Yes I KNOW the damn TOM is coming on, but it is lurking and that screws with me big time. I wish I had some way to bring it on and get it overwith! I am pretty sure that my changed eating habits are what has delayed it. Damned if I do and Damned if I don't right now. It wouldn't be such a huge deal if I wasn't going on vacation at the end of the month. Gah. I know this way of eating is a life long plan, and I plan to keep on it. ****, my headaches have all but disapeared, I no longer need naps in the middle of the day, my clothes are fitting better etc. (though for some God aweful reason I am now turning into more of a morning person!!) So way more positives than negatives going on. It is just frustrating when I am only about 5 lbs away from looking great in a bathing suit. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, but my train seems to be stuck on the tracks.
