  • Hows my Menu

    Hi just starting out on this diet. Here's kinda what I got planned to eat. Also I don't have a lot of time to cook stuff so breakfast will have to be fast, lunch fast too, dinner would be the only time I would have some time to cook something up.

    Breakfast- about 5 a.m.

    3 large eggs, 1 pc. of mozzarella cheese made into a omelet with
    3 sausage patties on the side or maybe chopped up and mixed into the omelet. 2+ cups of water. (sausage patties that are pre made OK). I usually don't shop just give my mom some money when she goes buys food for the house so all I no of are the pre-made ones.

    Snack

    Lunch- about 10:30 a.m.

    Was just thinking of grabbing a side salad from McDonald's with some Ranch or Blue Cheese dressing.

    Snack

    Dinner - about 6 p.m.

    Either pork chops, cheese burgers, chicken, lamb, chicken wings. With maybe 1 cup of cucumbers or cabbage etc.

    Just need to keep it easy for a little while until I get the hang of it.
    Snacks would be only if I get hungry not sure what I would keep in the lunch box just yet. Also the Water thing wont be a problem since I usually drink a gallon or more at work more now since its getting hot out.

    According to Fit day I put in what I said for my Breakfast and Lunch and then for dinner I put in 2 Beef patties with cheese and I cup of cucumbers totals came out to be.

    66/31/4 - 1570 cals, 112 fat,17 carb, 118 protein. Just wondering if this sounds OK. Thanks and sorry if everything is a little messy. Gonna try to make a little list and go grab the things I don't have in the house right now.

    first remember Atkins is about feeding your hunger at the time you are eating so if you are hungry enough to need all that for breakfast them have it but if not them don't eat it all. you can eat again as soon as you get hungry and until your ketossi kicks in usually anywhere from 2-4 days you will be hungry. I know I started mine with about 4000 cals and as my hunger diminshied i ate less and less.

    Also we want to eat some protein some fats and some of our vegie carbs at every meal like you fuel up your car with the right octane each time. If you go side salad add a burger to it for some protein and fat. watch the dressings carb counts and ingredidnets too.

    As to your sausage run in the kitchen and read the package then research on line brands your mom can buy that will be legal if those aren't. usually bulk fresh stuff like Jimmy Dean is acceptable but some have sugar corn starch and other carbs added to bulk them up or improve taste.

    Since you cook dinner how aboiut cooking an extra serving for lunch the next day? get a cheap little lunch mate cooler and you are ready to go. save money and carbs that way.

    We have many cook ahaed breakfast stuff too like little egg muffins you can cook and freeze then just nuke when ready to eat and you fil them with anything you like when you cook them in the muffin tin.

      Hi and welcome! I think your calorie intake is to low for your starting weight, I always heard to eat 10-12x your body weight or you could do like i do i figured out my bmr and go about 200-250 more than the calories it has me eating and im 265 so it has me about 1950 so i get in about 2200 a day or maybe less or more here and there, i learned that from another atkins site.

        HI well this is what I did for day 1.

        2 egg and cheese omelette, with a double stack with cheese from wendy's 1 celery stalk used 1 tablespoon of butter for the pan.

        Lunch- had a side salad from Wendys with a double stack with chesse and 1 String Cheese. 3 Tablespoons of Blue Cheese Dressing.

        Snack- 1 String Cheese

        Dinner - 4 Med sliced pcs of Roast Beef with 1 cup of green beans.

        Came out to around 2226 cals, 160 Fat, 21 carbs, 170 Protein total 66,31,3

        Im not really gonna change to much each day.

        Breakfast gonna do the 2 eggs and chesse with 2 sausage patties

        Lunch half salad with a cheeseburger

        Dinner will be either Pork Chops,Burgers or ,Chicken with Green beans

        Just wondering how that sounds and if I should add something some where or take something out.

        Right now Ive been up 17 hours and I just feel like a little hungry like you are but not I just think Im thinking it cuz of what I usually eat for day compared to what I had to day.

          Hi and i was looking over your menu and seem some changes that might make a difference, i would cut back on my cheese intake it seems there is alot of that and also up those veggies a side salad at a fast food restaraunt uses iceberg lettuce which is very dense in the nutrition department, i would go for more darker lettuce such as romaine and they usually put a few shredded carrots and two tomatoes and call it a salad, you need more veggies than that in my opinion, also im taking it the double stack was without the bun but what about the ketchup it is loaded in sugar so be careful, other that that i see bfast being pretty good just lighten up on the cheese and dinner looks great just make sure you get those veggies in!!!
