  • Trying to fix Ratio

Okay, here's my menu....I put it into FitDay and it came up with 806 calories, 21 Net Carbs (I'm 1 over), and my ratio of F/P/C is 44/45/11 (instead of 65/30/5). Any suggestions on how to tweek it the right way??

B: 1 egg, 1/2 cup zucchini slices cooked in butter

L: 1 1/2 cup steak strips, 1/2 cup red pepper strips, 1/2 cup green bell pepper strips, 1/3 cup onion strips cooked in butter until soft and with chili powder

D: 2 cups egg drop soup (2 cups chicken broth, 1 large egg, 1/4 cup green onion)

    100oz water

Hello! Are you still on Induction? You might want to cut out the onions and add some more protein and fat! 806 calories is mighty light. Are you exercising?

By the way, congratulations on your loss so far! That rocks!

Yes, I've extended my induction......generally I dont use onions but I had some left over peppers and some steak that I needed to get rid of so I thought *a la fajita style*.
I'm not exercising no.....well, not in the actual sense of going jogging or aerobics or anything. I do walk up and down the stairs during mid day of each weekday...up and down to the fourth floor that is.
I'm trying to get my life in some sort of "natural working order" so that I can add some sort of exercise to my program.
        Thanks for the congrats!

Hey there! Good work on the loss so far!

I'd really try eating some more food. It seems like you're "dieting" too much. I know, sounds weird, but this really is a way of life, not a quick loss diet.

Definitely add some fat. Some easy ways are through snacking on cheeses, using oil-based salad dressings (olive oil is best), or eating fattier cuts of meat. I find it very easy to get a high % of fat in my diet by adding some bacon (not every day) to my breakfasts or cheese on my eggs.

I know that the meal I posted seems a little "lean" but I promise you I'm not "dieting" at all. It's just how I eat (I know, if I eat like that then why is my butt so big ). Seriously though....I eat, I'm always satisfied, never hungry. Other days I eat something like this:
B: 2 bubba burgers topped with cheese
L: 1 medium sized boneless skinless chicken breast, w/sauteed
mushrooms (in butter) and a side salad (lettuce, cucumbers)
D: Taco Salad (seasoned ground beef on a bed of lettuce, with
shredded cheese, sour cream, black olives and diced tomatoes)

Now I havent put THAT menu in FITDAY yet so I dont know what the calories are....but I do eat.....and I do add not only salad greens to my menu but...well for example the other night I had pork chops and asparagus and a salad with cucumbers and greek vinegrette salad dressing with feta cheese for dinner...so I do eat and I do eat my veggies......guess I picked a bad menu for you to review huh? LOL.

                  Re: Trying to fix Ratio

Ok..so if I'm understanding you guys right thus far....I need to add some things in the day like a snack of cheese or something to bring my fat ratio up....correct? And more veggies should bring the protein part down, right?

I do appreciate the guidance...just want to make sure that what I got from all of your posts together equals out to my understanding.
