  • Review me please!

After walking 1 mile to pool, one hour swim, walk back, I then have:

Pint of water made up of 3/4pt carbonated water, 2 tsp fresh lemon juice, topped up with hot water.

Then about an hour later, once I am hungry:

Brunch: about 10oz fatty meat (lamb or chicken slooshed with olive oil, or continental sausage, or pork) fried in olive oil, or tuna and mayonnaise.

This is served on a smallish bed of lettuce, red capsicum, cucumber, scallions, couple of olives, raw onion, a tomato.

During the day snacks, if needed/wanted: a kabanos sausage, a slice of ham, a slice of cheese, a slice of cold roasted meat, a boiled egg, a small bowl of tuna and mayonnaise with chopped red capsicum

    Dinner: same as brunch

In the winter I will have broccoli, sprouts or red cabbage instead of salad stuff.

So it's two meals, and about 3 or 4 snacks instead of a third meal, at the moment. I have a pint glass and a jug of water by my side at my desk all day long and a sports water bottle (where you drink from the nozzle thing) by the side of my bed, suckling from it several times during the night and currently drinking a pint overnight. I am not getting enough water inside me, I know that and am trying harder each day.

I am letting my body tell me when to eat. I am not hungry at any time and do not feel that I am overeating.

I do not want to use Fitday as I get too obsessive. I just want to not think about food too much, just keep Atkins foods in the house and let myself eat whatever I like, when I like.

    Thanks for your time.

      Re: Review me please!

don't make anything of it. you might have newbies or guests looking in.

i was not a believer in fitday but do it every day now. i eat what i want and i can afford certain things now but it is a good way to have a look see at just what i am putting in my body.

i personally don't have a problem with the 2 meals and the snacking as long as you not waiting too long to eat (6 hours between meals) and it appears you are not letting yourself go hungry.

i am not a big fan of carbonated anything. i think it gives a false feeling of fullness.

        Thanks for replying and reassuring!
I'm definitely not hungry at all. Soon as I feel peckish I have a snack.
I only have the carbonated once a day after the swimming, my hot fizzy "lemonade"; rest of the time it's tap water.

          Re: Review me please!

Your menu looks good to me, Helena - well done on getting that swim in each day too!!

From experience once you get into induction and ketosis and used to drinking your water you will find you are drinking more without noticing it.

I usually have my 'sports top' bottle beside me when I am online and take a swig every time I am waiting for the pages to refresh or load - it amazes me how often I have to refill it!

As Jimmiejo said, many people just lurk and read posts before they are registered and allowed to comment on anything, so dont worry about the ratio of lookers to posters in any threads
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
