  • Please let me know if this is OK

    Hi all, I have been wondering of a plan I want to follow with atkins and I don't know if its ok - this is my menu, at least for induction:

    Breakfast: Atkins Shake and a bottle of water

    Lunch: either another Atkins shake (like the slim fast, we can have 2 shakes a day) or have a like a breakfast since I didn't have it for the actually breakfast time. Ex, Eggs with Sausage and water

    Dinner: A meat and salad but most of the time i'm happy with just meat! and of course water

    I know i have no snacks added unless you count water! but either i just don't get hungry to eat snacks or I can't since i'm in class ALL DAY!!

    My menu might not be that good but don't be too harsh!

    Sorry, we REALLY do not recommend the Atkins Shake, as they are not on the acceptable list and all they do is stall any attempts at weight loss. Ditch the shakes and any bars that you might have and try to figure out another plan for breakfast.
    Hard boil up some eggs and then grab then and maybe some celery slices filled with cream cheese and bacon bits.
    A breakfast roll up is always good. Ham, string cheese in a lettuce rap
    Your best bet is to eat protein, carbs and fats at every meal, and veggies are a must.

      Hi Netty!

      Yes, I second Desertthorn's warnings on the shakes and bars. Check out the acceptable food list posted in the Atkins FAQ forum. This should guide you along. also, try to take a look at some other people's menus. You'll get the most out of induction and this WOE if you try to keep the foods natural. You'll thank yourself for it.

      If you need some help, you can take a look at my fitday (link below). Just keep in mind that I am at goal so I might have some foods in there that aren't induction friendly, but for the most part I keep close to my induction foods.
