  • First Day!

Well today was my first day on Induction-I don't think I had a good first day here's what I ate...

    3 sticks of string cheese-breakfast
    2cup bowl of shrimp salad-lunch
a cup of shrimp with cotail sause-snack
    fish and green beans-dinner-Dinner

I had 2 bites of egg and potoato salad (I know I know)

Tomorrow is a new day I'm looking forward to doing better

    Hi Kimmie!

Well, yeah...we probably have some work to do... Have you read the acceptable food lists in the Atkins FAQ forum? You can find it here.

    http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ead.php?t=6781

I don't think cocktail sauce is something you want to continue using. Is the shrimp salad with lettuce or mayo-based salad?

It seems you really like your seafood! That's great, but it's also a good idea to include some fattier meats as well. It's advisable to keep your fat/protein/carb ratios at like 65/30/5.

You can see a typical menu on my Fitday (link below) if you want some examples.

Best of luck and check back!

Actually coctail sauce is fine. You can make your own. Use LC ketchup, such as Heinze One and throw in some horseradish and you are good to go!
But yeah. You need more fat. And more veggies. Do you like scrambled eggs? It's easy to just make a scramble with spinach, or peppers/mushrooms, any meat and veggie you like can be incorporated into a scramble. It's best to spread out your 3 cups of veggies throughout the day.
Keep at it! You'll get it!
