  • Menu ok in induction?

    I'm on day 5 of induction and have not lost 1 pound. Heres a typical day...
    breakfast - 1 slice of ham - 1 carb
    lunch - 3 slices of bacon and 2 eggs scrambled
    snack - 1 string cheese
    dinner - baked chicken with a slice of cheese on it and salad with low carb ranch dressing

    another day I may have-
    breakfast - ham
    lunch - salad with low carb dressing
    snack - 1 string cheese
    dinner - 2 hamburger patties - 0 carbs with slice of cheese on them

    Right now I'm consuming about 40 oz's water a day..I know I need more but its very hard to drink water...Does anyone think that consuming more water is a real contributor to losing more weight? Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks..

    yes on the water question. you need more and yes it is a contributor with the loss. it's essential just like exercise is.

    you don't state how much salad you are eating.

    You can have two to three cupts per day
    check your book for the list and

    You can have one cup per day if salad does not exceed two cups - these vegetable are slightly higher in carbohydrate content than the salas vegetables:
    check page 126 of your book

    watch the salt content of the ham and also how it's prepared. some of the hams you buy are injected with maple sugar flavorings and such.

    others might see some other things that i have looked over.

    i would mention also, that your losses may not be what someone else experienced. induction is 2 weeks and i would really recommend you not step on the scale now until induction is over. wait (i realize it's hard to do) but it would be a good thing to wait.

    have you measured? it would be very good thing to do that too.
