Second time I've typed this! gah! First time threw a wobbly and deleted my post

Right Im basically posting here to see If I have went wrong anywhere on my daily menu, I thik yesterday should have been okay if a little under on the veggies front, but....

I had a 7lbs loss on my first week, 3lbs loss on my second week and nothing on the third, looking like a stall on the 4th week too. Im trying not to panic, but its hard. I have read the "weight lossis not linear" post and the other posts for newbies and they reassured me a little, but we are all our own biggest critics, so I'm convinced Im doing something wrong.

    Anyway:

B- 2 eggs (fried in Canola and Red Palm oil), 2 peices of bacon and 100g of Caulifower (3g net carbs) with come butter with cumin.

L: - Chicken breast (roasted with skin), haldful of bagged salad (1.2g net carb for whole bag and I had about Half) with Paul Newman Dressing, and two tablespoons of full fat Mayo

D: Combination Foo Yung. Egg dish made with garlic and mixed meat and Onion. I asked for the processed meat to be left out and for Jackie to make it no sugar, (I work in chinese at nights see as well as my day job) so eggs, chicken, beef, pork and prawn.

Liquids: 3 litres of water, 2 cups herbal tea and half a can of soda, diet. The soda isnt the best drink I know but I split a can with DH, and thats the last can of soda out of the house now.

So, apart from being under on teh veggies, how did I do?

looks good but why at lunch boith the PAUL NEWMAN and the mayo?

we measure our foods cause even though the carbs may be under 20 net the portion control is very important thing to learn so get out your scale or measuring cups and measure those salad veggies.

Do you have DR ATKINS NEW DIET REVOLUTION 2002 edition? that is the one we use here. Are you doing extended induction or OWL now that your 14 day induction is over?

do you have a journal food tracker program or site? if not www.fitday.com is a free site you can log your foods in and see exactly where your fuel is comeing from either carbs fats or proteins as too much protein will be converted to sugar in the body and poof your fatburning stops and your insulin level goes up again something all PCOSers want to avoid. 65% fats 30% protein and 5% carbs is what you want to be targeting for now.

Thanks. I'll have a look on Fitday for a tracker, the PN dressing was because I like my salad to have some dressing on it, I added the mayo as an afterthought for the chicken.

in my opinion it looks fine with me. are you also doing some sort of exercise everyday? a little goes a long way. also if you have reached a platoe then maybe you should invest in some supplements, not diet pills i though. another thing is portion control, the first few weeks of atkins you may notice major weight loss and over time you will see very little to none. it may be due to how much you eat in a day, in order to lose weight you need to decrease the amount of calories you take in a day. from the looks of it you seem to be eating a good amount so maybe you should try that out.

            Re: Saturdays Food

I once checked the back of the dressing at mcd's and it had 9 carbs in just that little bit of dressing! I would also agree with 2big, track your intake at www.fitday.com, it is a great tool, and will show you your fat/protein/carb percentages in your daily diet. Should be 65% fat, 30% protein and 5% carbs, or as close as you can get. Glad you got the last can of soda out, how much were you drinking of it? Caffeine and sweeteners in soda can be culprits, as well as too much cheese. Since you posted just one day, not sure if any of that might be it. Exercise can also build up muscle weight, if you are doing any. I would definitely check your measurements so even on the weeks you don't see a loss on the scales, you might notice your measurements change for the better! I've had many weeks like that, and it's a good way to guage what's going on also, so you can still notice the changes!

            Good luck!
