  • Day5 review!

    Hey guys!

I felt like I did pretty bad yesterday, though when I look at my choices written down they dont look so bad....

    Breakfast
    Water
    Omelet
Omelet contents : 2 eggs, 2 slices lean pastrami, 2 slices baby swiss, salt, pepper, garlic powder ( delicious!)

    Lunch
    Water
*Family did hot dogs from Spikes Jumkyard Dogs... I know the hotdogs are all natural beef and not greasy at all, not sure if I made the right choice*
Hotdog with 2 tbsp weiner sauce ( seasoned hamburg )
    1 teaspoon finely chopped onion

Pre-dinner snack / apetizer ( this is where I feel I did wrong but I was pretty hungry )

About 1 cup of mild cheddar cheese
    about 1 cup of pepperoni
1 cup of raw broccoli dipped in 3 tablespoons of
    Maries Blue cheese dressing ( 0carbs 0sugars )
    2 cups of water

    Dinner
    Water
Tea ( not decaf, had to do it though ) 1 teaspoon cream and 1 splenda
    1 can of albacore tuna
    salt
    pepper
    2 tablespoons of Kraft Mayo

I am feeling less and less hungry as the days go by and LOVING IT!

Thanks in advance for the review!

    Re: Day5 review!

1 cup grated cheese is supposed to be 4 oz so that was your cheese allowance but iwth the cheese in the omlet you went over in your cheese allowance. Allowance is 3-4 oz a day. Cheese is so awesome its easy to over do it, lol, I would know. If your using 8 oz blocks, cut into 8 equal pieces so you have 1 oz pieces. If using shredded, 1 cup is max. Just keep measuring.

Not sure about the dogs. Even all beef weiners sometimes have sugars. Also not sure what weiner sauce is but one thing ya gotta remember is that when you cant read a label and see ingredients, you dont know whats in it.

That omlette sounds good, and the tuna too, I think imma go fix some!

Oh, and the only thing I'll say about the caffiene is that I know two ppl on atkins now that refuse to give up the caffiene. One is loosing great anyway, and the other isnt really getting the results they want cause they havent managed to stop the cravings yet after 2 weeks. (I think from caffiene cause they are doing everything else right). It affects everyone differently.

I agree with Mindy about the cheese and hot dogs, but wonder what happened to the rest of your vegetables??

Induction rules say 2 cups of veggies from the 'salad list' in addition to your cup of broccolli, so you were short there.
Maybe try to add some peppers or mushrooms to the omelette next time?

It is better to spread your veggies over the day to help lessen any blood sugar 'spikes'.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
