  • How's my menu?

    I feel like this is pretty good, but I wanted the experts opinions. Thanks for looking. I know I had the same meat all day, but it sounded good. Of course I'll be varying lots. Do the calories and percents look ok?




    Breakfast
    3 eggs scrambled with onion sauteed in butter

    Lunch
    3 oz chicken breast cooked in olive oil
    guacamole with tomatoes and peppers
    2 c cucumber slices

    Dinner
    3 oz chicken breast cooked in olive oil
    guacamole with tomatoes and peppers
    1 c lettuce with 1 Tbsp vinegar and oil

    Snack
    3 oz chicken breast
    1 Tbsp mayo

    I've had 10 or 12 glasses of water now. I lost track.

    1338 = 64% / 5% / 31%

    first you have to tell us did you only eat enough food each time you ate to satisfy your hunger when you were eating? if so then the amounts you had were fine as long as your guacamole was legal ingredient made.

      Yeah, looks good to me...but is 3 oz of chicken really satisfying you? I mean, your calories are pretty low. I noticed that when I ate more calories, I actually lost more. Otherwise, the percentages and amounts of veggies are right on.

        The guacamole was completely legal... I made it myself.

        And to be honest, I probably could have eaten some more chicken each time. When I got hungry though I ate some more, that's when I had that last snack in the evening. Dinner was probably about 4:00pm since I was hungry again so I had the snack too.

        That's going to be a tough one for me to get in my head... the eating more thing. It's been pounded into my head so long to eat fewer calories that it's still hard for me to get those calories up. I was actually worried that 1300 was too many.

          your cals were perfect for you that day you fed your hunger and stopped. that is what Atkins is about. there will be days when you eat lots more to feel your hunger.
