    Breakfast:
    2 strips Turkey Bacon
    2 scrambled eggs

    Lunch:
    3 oz. Baked Chicken Breast
    2 C. luttuce
    1 c. shredded cheese
    2 tbsp. light ranch dressing (said less than 3 carbs)

    Dinner:
    3 oz. Baked Chicken Breast (sprinkled with shredded cheese)
    1/3 of a small avocado

    Snacks:

    String cheese (Mozarella) x2


    I did get FitDay and by it , I only had 11 grams of carbs in that day. Calories were under 1200.

    Drinks:

    I have been drinking nothing but water and on some days over 1 gallon easy.

    *Calories 1074
    Fat 65%/Carbs 3%/Protein 31%

    Am I doing this right? I am staying full and feeling more energy on only the 3 day so I feel I am but I need to hear it I guess.

    Looks good, but a cup of shredded cheese sounds like a lot. How much is that in ounces?

    If you're feeling satisfied then that's the important thing...but I'm a very big proponent of eating enough calories. I know you're not supposed to be worrying about them too much during induction, but if you are not eating enough, then your body tends to hang onto the weight the best it can and you'll lose more slowly.

    So on fitday, when you go to the activities section, what does it say for basal calories? I've always found, and some disagree with me, that if you eat close to that number of calories per day it's effective.

    If you are feeling unsatisfied or like you are depriving yourself, eat more, it's ok! How much are you looking to lose?

      I sprinkled my salad with cheese and I also sprinkled my chicken breast for dinner with it. It probably wasn't a cup of cheese..that was my guesstimate :P and I'm silly so that would explain it.

      My basal calories says 1698... so I'm way off on those. Mine was 1074

      I guess I'm scared of eating too many calories. Sometimes when I get hungry I have another glass of water so that I don't over eat.

      My weight right now is 198 (sometimes lower). My goal weight is 150 atm and I will take it from there. With my figure and bone type...at 160, I look 140 and etc..so I will have to see.

      Is it okay to have green tea if I do not sweeten it? and about the atkins bars, i read they are okay on induction..maybe I can incorporate 1 of those into my menu and make up calories and carbs?

        Step away from the bars!! LOL! Seriously though...if you read the ingredients there are things in there that are not acceptable in induction. The company has stated they're ok for induction, but most people here agree that they are not good for you and can actually slow or stall your weight loss.

        I wouldn't worry too much about the calories...just make sure you are satisfied. If you get hungry, have a nice legal snack! Like pepperoni and cheese or something like that. there are lots of snack ideas in the food forums.

            I just found out the dressing (Kraft Light Done Right Ranch) has 2g sugar in it? Did that totally mess up my Induction? I'm very upset Please help anyone.

              Just keep going...

              I would avoid the lite dressings though. The full fat versions are fine for our way of eating. You want the fat anyway! I know, hard to get through our heads... Get yourself some regular salad dressing. There are many brands discussed on some of the food forums.

                Thanks alot, I am just freaking out thinking that I wont go into Ketosis ...alot of worry , I know. I just do not want to mess this up.

                  Aimee, The regular Ranch dressing by Kraft has only 2 carbs per serving and only 1 gram of sugar. Wishbone has 2 carbs, but 2 grams of sugar so you can go with the Kraft. Double check anything listed as light because you want to know what its light of? If its low fat they usually add more carbs to give it some taste and we need the fat.
                  Blue Cheese dressing is generally sugar free or such a tiny amount it doesn't matter.
                  Try to get veggies in every meal and spread out your carbs.

                          Today I bought caffine free herbal tea..its Apple Cinnamon..sugar was not listed in the ingrediants, no carbs...but in the ingrediants were orange peel and natural ingrediants. Can I have this?

                          Another thing, I have no appetite..I'm not exaggerating..none. *lord i never thought i would say that*. Today I haven't eaten much at all. I'm doing good on my water.


                          Celery w/cream cheese
                          3 cherry tomatoes
                          6 oz. chicken
                          1/2 cup. Shredded Cheese ( 2 oz)

                          I have only had 438 calories and 4 carbs. Will I be okay just for today or should I try and eat something?

                            If you are not hungry but it has been near 6 hours since you ate last you need to have a small snack of fat/protein and some of your carbs to adhere ot the '6 hour rule' in DANDR.

                            As for the herbal tea - as long as you are not eating any of the 'bits' in it I am pretty sure it is OK. If you add sweetener to it dont forget to count each sweetener serving as one of your 3 daily allowance.

                            Also make sure you have it as extra to your daily water minimum of 64 fluid ounces plus an extra 8 fluid ounces for every 25 pounds you hope to lose.
