Hi,
I've been doing Atkins for a while now on extended induction. The weight is going fine and I'm very happy with it, but I think I may have noticed an inconsistency in the book ,or I've been doing it totally wrong.
Could anyone tell me if this looks ok? It's very typical.
Breakfast: Two medium eggs (fried in sunflower oil or poached), 2 rashers of bacon (no sugar). Two medium mushrooms chopped and fried in butter OR a small chopped tomato (aim for 30grams).
Lunch: 200g of salad, including spinach, lettuce, peppers, cucumber, rocket, and other salad and a can of tuna (in oil) with about three teaspoons of full fat mayo (with no sugar). Sometimes half an avocado too.
Dinner: Chicken breast (medium) chopped and pan fried in 1 and a half teaspoons of olive oil. 100 grams mushrooms thrown into pan with butter (half the size of golf ball). Then about 1 and a half tablespoons of double cream to make a sauce in the pan. Served with 100 grams steamed veg (often broccoli or spinach or courgette).
Snack: 2 oz cheese and decaf coffee with cream.
It looks like so much fat when it's written down! My question is am I actually meant to have 200g salad at lunch at 200g veg with dinner - that it what the rules of induction appear to say but somewhere else in the book it seems only 80g veg allowed at dinner which I hadn't taken in the first time and made me panic when I was re-reading
. Any thoughts?
Thanks
