  • Help??

    I was wondering if someone can look at my fitday and tell me if they see anything wrong with what i have decided to eat today. I know i am in deep ketosis and usually am not hungry and eat a lot less than what is here, so i decided to plan the food i need to eat and EAT IT lol. I basically eat the same thing every day so far with little variation. My cals are usually under 1000 which isn't good and i thikn its what's causing my weight to move between 276 and 279 for the last week because of the exercise i am doing also.

    FITDAY FOR ME

    My percentages are Fats 58%, carbs 5% and Protein 37%

    i usually only use fitday to play around with my menu but decided i need to start today logging what i am eating because i am not eating enough. When i actually do it at the beginning of the day, i know what i have to eat to reach what fitday says.

    I appreciate any advice

    Sher,

    If that's enough food to fill you up...then that's what you eat for the day. HOWEVER, your fat % is too low. Put some olive oil on those squash--instead of boiling them, sautee them in olive oil. You'll love the taste and it will get your fat % up. Besides, when you eat your carbohydrates, you want to have fat with them to slow the impact on your blood sugar.

      Hi Joy, my normal eating of late (about the last 2 weeks) is about 400 cals less, especially when i am exercising. Which is why i decided to plan the menu lol first and make myself eat what's on it or else i am consistantly at 800 cals/day. and i know at my weight that is not good at all and i think that's why the scale is not moving.

      The zucchini i usually saute in bacon grease as make a can of shredded chicken, 4 pieces of bacon chopped up and a cup of zucchini all sauted in the bacon grease. I will add some olive oil to my salad to boost the fat up or add olive oil to the mixture. I think the chicken is what puts the protein over the fat.

      Thanks for the insight i will let you know how it goes. i am probably going to use this forum for at least a week to make sure i get this situated and see if my weight starts gooing down.

        okay, here is my fitday menu for tomorrow Friday: If you look at it tonight, just click on the date so it goes to tomorrow. Any advice would be appreciated. I think my % is okay not sure though. Its 65% fat, 5% Carb and 30% Protein.

          The 65 / 5 / 30 percentage is what you should be aiming for!!!

          Your menu looks fine, you may want to make sure you add everything in - for example you said you sauteed the squash in bacon fat, but it doesn't seem to be listed? It takes only a little fat to up those calories!

            Hi Kay, thanks for your insight. to be honest, when i saw the percentage when i saw the percentages i was like ... YES!!! lol

            Maybe this will help in seeing how the ingredients are put together.

            Breakfast: 1/2 can of shredded chicken, 4 slices of chopped up bacon, and zucchini squash all sauted together starting with the bacon adding the zucchini and then the chicken without getting rid of the grease from the bacon being cooked. a smidgeon of cheese added at the end

            Lunch: 8 oz italian sausage, .5 of italian tomato, .5 black olives, little less than .25 pizza cheese. I mix all this up in a cup of lettuce and 10 leaves of baby spinach

            Dinner: same as lunch except i have 4oz meat, .25 italian tomato, .25 black olives, and smidgeon of cheese w/o the lettuce and spinach.
            I appreciate your taking the time to look at my menu.

              Ahhhh, you do what I do - anything that is going to be cooked with bacon - thats what goes in the pan first so I don't need to add any other fat (for 2 reasons, 1 why double up and 2 bacon fat is yummy)!!!!!

              It all looks good, just keep pluging those numbers into Fiday, and it will keep you on track!
