Re: Xpost...please comment on my menu. Thanks!

I'm glad to see you're eating! A lot of people cut back too much on calories and put their bodies into a tailspin! I'd like to see more veggies though...it's a good idea to spread your veggies out during the day. Mix some in with your eggs, have some with lunch, have a salad for dinner, etc.

Also, what is the serving size on the cheese cubes? You're allowed 3oz. of cheese per day, each serving equalling 1oz. It's a good idea to spread cheese out throughout the day, too. It's very calorie-dense. (And very addictive! I could eat cheese constantly YUMMMMMM!)

Your protein and fat choices look good!

Your daily amount of heavy cream is 1-2tbsp, and you have 4 listed. This is a special category food and it DOES have carbs. You will be allowed to add more heavy cream once you get to OWL rung 2, dairy.

Keep chugging the water! The more you drink, the more you'll WANT to drink!

Thanks Julirama, you're always a big help. The carb count on the heavy whipping cream is 0. What should I could for it? I don't know when to stop with the veggies, so I thought it'd be a good idea to save them for my dinner. As for the cheese, it said that 8 cubes was a serving and the serving had 1 carb. I want to do this right this time. This is my third time, only making past day 6 or 7.

        Re: Please Review My Menu

The thing that jumps out at me, foojoy, is the vegetables all at one meal.
Better to have some with each meal to spread out your veggie carbs throughout the day to help avoid any blood sugar 'spikes' form having them all at once.

also your water is a tad on the low side as you need to drink at least 64 ounces plus 8 more ounces for every 25 pounds you hope to lose.

Otherwise it looks fine to me - and nice variety to keep things interesting!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

you are right, Gina - if foojoy is trying to 'use up' 13 carbs in that meal it would probably amount to more than the 3 cups allowed even high-ish carb veggies like brussels sprouts are chosen.

foojoy - the 20 net carbs is a maximum, so you dont have to eat all 20 each day.

Re: Please comment on my menu. Thanks!

Thanks everyone. This is my first day on my third try on induction. I will incorporate more veggies. I did get a chance to go shopping before deciding to try again. I drink more water that the 36 oz posted. I have this 36 oz cont that I fill up twice. If you know mind, I'm going to post again another menu. Thanks again.

I made it through day one with no candy and no brandy.

Yup, good choices...just get more veggies and spread them out...I'm a little guilty of that myself in that I tend to lump them into my dinner or lunch.
