Re: 911 calling all and anyone to check this out

LOL! My advice would be to avoid the scale during induction - you'll chart the rest of your Atkins based on the results on the morning of day 15 - not the ups and downs that *might* happen on days 2-14 - so if you are especially influenced by scale fluctuations, I'd skip it and rely on the way your clothes feel. Oh, and take your measurements and some pictures to compare as well...when the scale is being obnoxious - and that day may come - you will be very glad to have other tools to measure your progress!

Ditto what Kylie said! Ignore the scale for 2 weeks. Even now, after following Atkins for 6 months, my weight fluctuates daily and fluctuates wildly within the same day. In fact, EVERYONE'S bodies do that! So, weigh before you start, and then not again for 2 weeks. After those 2 weeks, weigh once a week.

FF, I know you don't want to weigh, but it's a very good idea to do so. At the end of your 14 days, you'll have an idea of your metabolic resistance based on how much weight you've lost. This is important because it will give you an idea of what your CCLL is, and an estimate of how many carbs you'll eventually be able to eat each day. Weighing at the start will make your journey a little bit easier in the long run.

Good for you we see many posts here from people who get upset by what they see when they weigh daily, and by waiting till your 14 days are up you will be avoiding that frustration
After getting that info to see what your resistance to weightloss is as shown on the chart in DANDR you can forget about those pesky lying scales for as long as you want

Much better to chart your progress by how your clothes fit - after all that is what everyone else will be seeing!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
