  • Day 1 Induction, too much protein?

    Hello everyone, I'm brand spanking new to the forum and I've been reading and learning so much. I'm on day 1 of induction and I'm alittle considered about my meal plan for the day. I tried figuring things out on Fitday, but couldn't find everything I was looking for (ex: grilled chicken breast). I'm worried that I might have in too much protein by the end of the day. Can someone help out? TIA

    Breakfast
    4 scrambled eggs, 3 slices bacon, 2 tbs. butter

    Mid Morning Snack
    1 oz. mozzerella cheese

    Lunch
    6oz. grilled chicken breast (no skin)
    2 cups romain lettuce/red cabbage/carrot blend bagged salad
    1/2 c. fresh mushrooms
    1 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
    2 tbs. blue cheese dressing

    For Dinner I plan
    8-10 oz. boiled shrimp
    1/2 cup sauteed mushrooms
    2 tbs. melted butter

    Water intake 80-100 oz.

    Started Atkins 2/12/07 @ 214, had a successful two weeks and lost 15lbs. Then totally fell off the wagon on Day 16 Sooo.....

    Restarting 3/12/07

    SW: 210
    CW: 196
    GW: 140-130ish

    Looks pretty good to me! You'll want to mix up your veggies a bit though and try some different ones that have more nutrients. There's a huge list of allowed veggies in the acceptable foods list.

    FYI...if you want to add like grilled chicken, just search for it like this:
    chicken, breast, broiled

    Some of the cooking methods don't show up in the foods list. typically jsut look for the raw food itself and then you can usually select cooked or uncooked.

      Thanks higgies, that makes me feel so much better! The last thing I want to do is mess up on day 1! I'll have to practice with Fitday and I'm sure in time I'll figure out how to use it properly soon enough.
