Your percentages are lovely - I can't actually access your fitday from the link, so can't say anything about the foods you are eating. What is your BMR? Your calories strike me as possibly a tiny bit on the low side. Did you get enough to eat? Did you eat when you felt hungry? Since I don't know what you weigh, I can't even make a real guess about what your BMR is, but just a note - eating too far below it too often might slow your losses!

Re: Sorry For This But Its The Easy Way Of Saying

That looks ok - just NOT like very much food at all. If that's all it takes to be satisfied, then that's perfectly fine - but if you are going around hungry during the day, it's not. You never have to go hungry. If you are hungry, eat something - a small snack. Since you have been on other types of diets I just wanted to remind you of that...lots of low fat dieters are used to "feeling hungry all the time" while "dieting" and thus expect it on Atkins as well. Another of the great things about this WOE!

I was asking about BMR rather than BMI. Basal metabolic rate - basically the calories your body would burn if you were sleeping 24/7...if you have entered your weight and age, etc. in fitday, it will give you an estimation of this number under the activities tab...I use that number as a guideline for my daily calorie intake - not that we're counting calories - but they *do* count...I seem to lose best when I eat right above my BMR...if I drop below it for too many days in a row, my losses slow down a lot - presumably because my body senses a deficit and works to hold on to any fuel it gets. Make sense?

I don't know what you plan to have in your "2 cups of salad" but if it's just lettuce - start studying the veggie lists and begin to branch out into some other veggies with more vitamins and fiber. I have eaten more and different veggies on this WOE than ever in my life...check the recipe boards sometime for ideas - they are a great resource!

You'll get the hang of this - it's actually a lot of fun - I cook more than ever now.

Re: Sorry For This But Its The Easy Way Of Saying

ummm... I think it's about 1545.25. Which means that if you do little or no exercise, your body burns about 1854 calories a day to maintain your current weight. The American College of Sports Medicine says that a woman should never eat below 1200 calories a day (forcing your body into starvation mode, where you don't lose weight, and screw up your metabolism so it's harder to lose weight even when you start eating more food again). If you reduce by about 20% of maintenance caloric need per day, it should give you a boost... so basically, it says drop about 400 calories from 1850, meaning you should be around 1450 calories.

You should probably focus more on getting it over 1200 than having it exactly at 1450 or whatever though.

You could add some more cheese--cheese is a calorie-dense food, and usually about 100 calories per serving. Each serving is 1 oz. and you are allowed 3-4 servings per day. Eggs are also great--you could top your salad with a hardboiled egg.

Eggs are a perfect food! They have almost perfect percentages of carbs/fats/protein! They're completely natural and unprocessed, very healthy indeed.

I had this boss... he had a 2 year old who used to eat butter, he'd like, get the tub of whipped butter (yeah, the real stuff), stick his finger in it, get a huuuge chunk, and stick it in his mouth.... ick.

Oh, if you add like, some sausage for breakfast... like, 2 little patties are something like 300 calories..
