I think your menu looks good! I see veggies spread throughout the day, healthy meals and snacks with a mix of protein/carbs/fat, and you got your water in.

The thing that catches my eye is the "drinks" section. You are allowed 3 sweeteners per day, and you have at least 4 listed (I'm not sure how big those crystal light servings are). True, it probably says no carbs, but if you look closely, it's sweetend with splenda and each serving must be counted as 1g carbs--one sweetener allowance. A serving is probably 8 ounces.

So your foods look great! I would try drinking just a bit more water, though. The more you drink, the more efficiently your body will run (the more fat can be flushed out), and inevitably, you'll make your body healthier. I started out with the minimum, but now drink over a gallon a day.

It also might be a good idea to check out www.fitday.com to see if your percentages are balanced. Your daily percentages (based on caloric intake) should be 65% fat, 5% carbs, 30% protein. Do not worry about the "grams" of fat and protein per day, focus on percentages. I use this site every day, and I'd probably be lost without it.

    Best of success!

Wow I'm glad I got the food part right, but I didn't know about the sweetner rule. Today I didn't have any in hopes of fixing my mistake, and you know it wasn't that hard to go without it. I think I'll try to save the splenda for special treats for now. I still can't belive that this has been this easy. On other diets I felt so starved. I havent once felt starved and I am so happy about that!

mystic--that's probably my favorite thing about Atkins--I'm no longer a slave to food! I eat when I'm hungry, and I eat until satisfied, and I never obsess, daydream, or fantasize about food like I used to. And the foods we eat are really good, too. I don't know how I ever lived without butter before...

Once you get used to drinking water, you'll start to crave it, and want to drink more. I think it's a very wise decision to save splenda-sweetened drinks for special occasions.

The only thing I dream about now is breakfast! For some reason, breakfast is now my favorite meal of the day. I never even used to eat breakfast before. To me, it seems you might not be eating enough...If you are eating your carb limits, i'd try shifting some of that to your most important meal of the day...breakfast!

If you don't like the celery and tuna...try something you do like! There are so many snack ideas out there that are high fat (which will satisfy your appetite/hunger) and delicious. How about pepperoni and cheese, ham and cream cheese roll-ups, or some chicken/tuna salad?
