  • Please Review My Induction Menu [low weight loss]

Man 27 year old - sedentary
    Height: 1.78m
    Weight: 105 Kg
    Target: 70 Kg

I lost only 1kg in the first Induction week!

    8:00 AM
    2 eggs
    Bacon

    11:00 AM
    Lettuce 50g
    Cucumber 50g
    Meat (pork, cattle, chicken)

    3:00 PM
1 pack pork rind (package says 0 carb/100g)

    7:00 PM
    Lettuce 50g
    Meat
    1 egg

I temper my salad with home made Mayonnaise (made only with oil and eggs)

Is there something wrong? Vitamins are ok.

Hi welcome to our ADBB family
Your food choices seem fine to me.
Did you have 100 grams of pork rinds? They are salty and some people find they make them retain water. Bacon too can contain a lot of salt which could have the same effect.
From your info it is hard to say if you are having enough fat, or in fact eating enough or too much food. About how much meat do you normally eat at each meal?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

      Elizellen, Thanks for reception!

Yup I eat meat a lot, around 1kg per day :3 I'm a voracious eater I like feel filled by food this turn me better to fight over depression. The meats are very greasy and mayonesse is heavyweight too (around 1 liters canola oil and 3 eggs for 4 days)

Is water retention really bad for my fat loss?

      Thanks again!

Your choices seem fine... so, are you feeding your hunger only? If you eat beyond your hunger it'll affect your weight loss... as will eating too little (starvation mode). You need to get the happy medium and the best way to do that is to only eat until you are satisfied, not gorged.
Not saying you're gorging, but if you're losing slowly but eating right, it could be a reason.

Are you on any medications? Have you had any changes in your usual routines (apart from the diet change)?
Dr Atkins talks about how these factors can affect weightloss in chapter 15 so maybe you will find some advice there on how to rev things up a bit.

It might be that you are someone who will not lose much initially and needs some time on Atkins sticking to plan till your body decides to shed more weight.

Oen of our former admins lost absolutely NO weight at all on her 14 days induction but followed the four stages of Atkins and got to goal regardless!

Sorry... I seem to have overlooked what you said in your post just before my last one.

Do you really eat a kilo of meat every day? And a litre of canola oil over 3 days? If so, that sounds like a great deal to me, particularly if you are sedentary. I know Atkins is supposed to be high fat, but there is a limit even to the fats.

How do you feel after eating? If you feel overly full, then you're eating too much. It can be hard to recognise repletion... if you have trouble with this, then try eating a normal portion of food, then waiting twenty mins or so, to see if you really are still hungry.

On the exercise front... you say in your other thread that your house is too small for you to exercise in and that you work 9 hours a day at home. Even jogging on the spot is better than nothing and you don't need room for that. You could try doing say a few minutes every couple of hours or so.

Can't comment on your medications, I'm afraid... not familiar with them. Medicines often have different names where I am.
