  • Can i eat these?

    Im new to the atkins diet and im still firguring out what i can and cant eat. So could someone tell me if i could eat these turkey rashers, heres the content:

    I would avoid them on induction and eat pork bacon instead which would probably contain more fat - they seem to be mostly protein from the numbers you posted.

    If you do eat them, make sure you add some fat to the meal - perhaps having them with a couple of eggs or cooking them in butter will balance the fat/protein better?

    You might want to use one of the programs like www.fitday.com to enter the quantities of food in each planned meal and snack for the day to see if they are around the 65% fat/30% protein/5% carbs that the recommended meals in DANDR average out at (according to tests run by duke's university a while back).

    F/60 yrs/5ft 5.5" (Though due to collapsing vertebrae I am now only 5'3" - but I refuse to recalculate my BMI )
