  • Hows my menu?

    Its my first day on the induction and im still learning how to do this diet. So any opinions would be appreciated:

    Breakfast:

    -2 Boiled eggs
    -1oz cheese

    Lunch:
    -Chicken breast
    -1 cup broccoli

    Dinner:
    -White fish
    -1 cup broccoli

    And lots of water........Is it okay?

    Jade... your menu looks good basically, just a couple of things:

    Make sure you're getting enough fat. You don't mention this. Do you add butter or oil to your veggies? Do you cook your meat in some kind of fat? You can have mayo (check labels for hidden sugars) and cream etc. Remember that on Atkins fat is your friend and you really do need it.

    Also, you're making just a little mistake with the veggies. In induction, you're allowed three cups total, of which two should be salad veggies and one 'other' veggies like broccoli. My advice would be to choose the more nutrient dense salad veggies (celery, tomatoes, peppers, radishes... etc) over lettuce, which is little more than chewy water nutrient-wise.
