  • Day 2 Almost Over

Well I think I am doing good. Today I had for lunch Bob Evans Sausage ground up with 2 slcies of cheese and a half of a cucumber with Fat Free Itailian Dressing. For Dinner I am having a chicken breast w/ 1 stalk of celery. I've drank like 4 bottles of water and a half bottle of Flavored water. I think Im doing everything by the book. We'll see!!

what did you have for breakfast?? you need to eat breakfast!!!

Im not sure cup wise what half a cucumber comes out at (theyre all different sizes!!)

in your dressing? i know its fat free but we eat fat! it needs to be carb free... what does it say on the bottle?

input your stuff at www.fitday.com.... see how it comes out!

Yeah I used 2 tablespoons of Kraft It has 3.5 carbs per serving (is there such thing as carb free dressing?). I did the fitday thing as I seen you post about it on another post that works great I had 15 Carbs today. As far as breakfast I work nights and get off @ 4AM and I sleep through breakfast. So when I get up I eat lunch and I eat dinner when I am at work. Do you see anything else I could possibly doing wrong? Thanks in advance
I also input my numbers @ fitday and here is what I got
      939 Calories
      57 Fat
      15 Carbs
      86 Protein
      Does this seem OK?

Im sure there is a carb free dressing, but i dont use dressings so someone else could probably help you on that one... the important thing is that it doesnt have sugar in it.

I dont think you're doing anything majorly wrong but i would say rather than eating 2 meals a day eat more - like 4 smaller meals a day? you shouldnt go more than 6 "awake" hours without eating i think the recommended around these parts is more like 4.

Yeah the italian dressing had no sugar. I made that mistake yeaterday w/ balsomic vinigeratte dressing which I have now thrown away.

Ranch or blue cheese dressing is better. More fat, less sugar/carbs.

You are wayyy too high on protein, and wayyyy too low on fat (percentages). Some ways you could probably get a little better is to choose skin on the chicken instead of boneless/skinless. OR add a tablespoon of mayonnaise, or ranch dressing, or blue cheese dressing. Cook the chicken in olive oil and butter. Add cream cheese to your celery. I'd avoid Italian dressing. We're supposed to only use dressings that have less than 2 carbs per 2 tablespoons and no sugar in the ingredient list.

One other thing, for a male, 939 calories is maybe HALF of what you should be eating per day. That's half of what I eat and I'm female and almost at goal. If this was just ONE day that low, no problem, but if you find yourself consistently eating at that level, you need to actively try to get those calories up. Adding fat will do that.
