I just added my Fitday link to my signature and I was wondering if anyone could take a peek and let me know if I should change anything. Thanks

Re: Wondering if I should change anything
3 cups of bacon? is that right? you'd be better adding it as slices
Your having no where near enough veggies you should be eating 3 cups of salad veggies or 2 cups of salad veggies and one cup of others..
Have you read the book?HW 303Aug '04 SW-287 LW-232Restart - Apr 07 - SW 266 CW 225

Re: Wondering if I should change anything
I agree with emma. I see a lot of bacon and cheese, and practically no vegetables. If you haven't already done so, pick up a copy of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution and read it! It explains the science of the diet, how and why it works, as well as detailed information about each phase of the plan.
3 cups of veggies are MANDATORY on induction. If you're not eating vegetables, you're not doing Atkins. Atkins is about low carbs, not NO carbs. The majority of your carbs should be coming from your 3 cups of veggies, and the remaining carbs will come from your 3 oz. of cheese, eggs, and special category foods.
Are you drinking your water? Are you exercising? These are also non-negotiable!

Re: Wondering if I should change anything
OMG! Yes it is totally 3 slices not cups LOL! I made a few other changes as well. I am only through breakfast, lunch, and snack, I have a romaine salad and chicken planned for dinner do you think that would complete my veggies for the day? I do have the book and doing atkins for the 2nd time around. I was trying to not to put all my veggies into the first part of my day. I am I too short on veggies for it only being 2 pm?
Thanks

Re: Wondering if I should change anything
Whew! That's a relief!
It's good to space your veggies out! I think you're fine for 2pm. I understand ya know. I thought that was an entire day's menu. Usually what I like to do is plug in all of my foods for the day. Most of the time I don't eat exactly what I have plugged in, but it's a great way to estimate carbs, percentages, and usually I can tweak things with no problems.START 8/16/06 @ 270+~MG1: 220-12/2/06~MG2: 210-1/07~MG3: 199-3/2/07~MG4: 190-4/27/07~MG5: 180-7/04/07~GOAL: 170

Re: Wondering if I should change anything
Julirama that's a great idea. Since I normally know in advance what my meals will be for the day I might as well track them.
Emma its really GOOD! You should try it. Don't let the liver word through you. I hate liver and this is nothing like it. Plus its zero carbs.
Lovin ideas!
Thanks

Re: Wondering if I should change anything
Liverwurst is also called braunschweiger. I too don't care for liver but I do like liverwurst.
According to NutritionData.com, it's 78% fats, 18% protein, 4% carbs, and
is a good source of Protein, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid and Iron, and a very good source of Vitamin A, Riboflavin, Vitamin B12 and Selenium.
Sounds like ideal Atkins food.
