    Re: My menu

    Hi Cassius,

Good idea to share your menu

    A few points:
    - It doesn't look like your eating enough by some margin. Don't forget your cheese, cream, avocado or olive allowance.
    - Salad is great but it is not as good as vegetables for fibre or nutrients. I'd go for 2 cups of salad (ideally not just lettuce as this is just like 'chewy water' as Elizellen once said ) AND a cup of something like string beans, broccoli, courgette, cabbage. This will fill you up and keep you regular.
    - Hot sauce is not on the induction list - it might look fine (for reference later check for sugars and other ingredients) but in the first 2 weeks Dr Atkins asks that you do not eat anything not on that list.
    - You could do with adding some more fats like mayo, butter etc to ensure you get enough calories and set off ketosis.
    - Chicken is a great choice, but aim for more variety like other meats (check for sugars and fillers like breadcrumbs), cheeses and seafood - or you'll get bored and this makes it harder to not cheat.
    - Hard boiled eggs are a good snack, if you're hungry, having 2 would be fine.
    - Great on the water.

It's a lot to think about at first - but ask if you need help. And it really does get easier and then becomes second nature.

    Best of luck

      Re: My menu

Oh boy, I have been eating hot sauce, with almost every dinner meal... should I restart.. or just continue and don't eat it anymore?

        Re: My menu

As long as all the ingredients of a sauce or other processed food are on the induction list then they are fine.
This is the reason that although mayonnaise is not listed it is allowed as long as it only contains ingredients like eggs, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and not sugar.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
