  • quick, can I eat it?

I'm on induction. I prepared a cheesecake by tweaking some of the recipies on here. I used 80Z of cream cheese, 2 eggs, 4 splenda packets, two teaspoons of unsweetened cocoa, and 1 tbsp of golden ground flax seed. Oh, and I used the reduced fat Philadelphia (yeah, I know I know) and it says that 1oz has 70 calories and less than one carb. So, I need help putting this into my fitday. I baked it and it's SITTING in my fridge waiting for someone to tell me if I can eat it. Otherwise, Im giving it to my mom who is on OWL.

actually this was neufchatel cheese that i used...

Hey, induction is a time to break your addictions and eating something like this will only feed your addiction and make it harder to avoid sweets in the future. However, setting that aside I'm afraid the answer it still no, flax seeds are seeds and so are not legal until OWL Seeds/Nuts rung.

Grant is right in suggesting you keep your use of sweeteners down if at all possible to kill your sweet tooth on induciton.

And flax seeds used in quantity should be left till the nuts/seeds rung of OWL BUT we ARE allowed to add one or two tablespoons of ground flax seeds (linseeds in UK) to our menus if we are having 'bathroom issues' as the added fibre helps both constipation and its opposite!
      See rule 12
      12. If you are constipated, mix a tablespoon or more of psyllium husks in a cup or more of water and drink daily. Or mix ground flaxseed into a shake or sprinkle wheat bran on a salad or vegetables.
Using it in recipes is a good way to eat it as it is not as unpleasant as drinking it mixed with water.
BUT start by adding one Tablespoonsworth only and see if that does the trick, and if not effective add another till it works!!

Make sure you drink more water too to allow the fibre to do its thing!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
