  • What's wrong with my menu?

Ok, I'm on the fruit rung, but nothing has been happening for me in weeks. Can you please please have a look at my menu and tell me if I'm totally doing something wrong?
This is my basic menu for most days.

    Breakfast
Scrambled eggs, + my 5carb dairy youghurt, flaxseeds

    Lunch
    1 cup of lettuce
    1/2 cup of tomato
    1/2 cup of cucumber
    feta cheese
    Salmon
    A teaspoon of green pesto
    1 tablespoon of mayo

    Dinner
    2 chicken breasts
    1 cup of yellow peppers
I have my 5 extra veg carbs here, usually mushrooms
5 carbs of beans, usually kidney beans or black eyed beans
    1 whole avocado with sourcream

    Snack
I have some cheese during the day, but don't generally go over the allowed amount. I might have a can of tuna if I get hungry in between meals.
I must admitt that I am having about 3-5 cans of Diet Coke everyday. Yes I know it's wrong. But please don't say that's what is stalling me, my husband is having twice as many and he is losing twice as fast.... I promise to try and cut down on the coke, but besides that - is something wrong with my menu?? Why haven't I lost anything in weeks???

Maybe you have reached your CCLL?

Have you tried dropping down 5 net carbs to see if your losing picks up again or dropping the last OWL rung addition?

Otherwise (you know what I am going to say) try dropping the diet cokes - many people stall from diet drinks.

BTW with drinking 3-5 cans a day you are overdoing your 3 servings of allowed sweetener as one can has 1.5 servings as far as I knwo!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

I haven't lost since I left induction... I truly hope my body can take more than 20carbs per day. Otherwise I'm seriously depressed.... I didn't have any dietcoke the first weeks of rungs and still didn't loose...

How much weight in total did you want to lose and how much did you lose on the first 2 weeks on induciton?

if you weren't losing anything when you first started owl (after induction) how's come you kept moving up to be on the berry rung? perhaps you moved up too quickly.

perhaps dropping back down to 25 carbs and beginning with the first rung, more veggies would get you started in the righ direction.

besides what eli has already told you, that's what my first thoughts are.

also, are you putting things into fitday or a program like that? sometimes it can be an eye opener to just how many carbs you really are eating.

I moved up a rung because I thought we should even though we stopped losing. I've been reading on the forum about people who started losing more and more the further up the rungs they got. I skipped the berries and nuts rungs because I don't like them, but everytime I skipped a rung I stayed 2extra weeks on the previous rung.

Re: What's wrong with my menu?

One way people who suspect they might have a low CCLL cope with OWL is to treat it more like a 'net' than a ladder.

By that I mean they keep their carbs down to something like induciton plus 5 net carbs and as they add the different rung foods they swap them out ratherr than add them.

So on the dairy rung maybe they add 5 net carbs of yogurt but only have their induction amounts of veggies.

Then they drop the yogurt and add nuts and so on till they have tried all the rungs and found if anything affects them adversely while keeping their carbs down to about 25 net carbs.

There is one sticky in the OWL forum about moving up the OWL ladder that might make things clearer
