  • more of a fitday question

i made a lovely noodle-less italian wedding soup nd i'm trying to figure out how to enter it on fitday.
i think it will take me all day if i have to enter each ingredient used divided by 12 servings. isn't there a part to add your own recipe?
going bonkers, but loving my escarole n meatball soup.

I calculate the recipe once and write out or print the results for the first step, but then I go to "food" and click on Add Custom Food and enter the name of the food and then the nutritional components. The item will remain so that anytime you want to include it in your daily menu, all you need to do is add it from the custom food list. I've done this with all my recipes.

      Best wishes to you!

Calculate the nutrition info as suggested by IrishIrish and call the custom food 'escarole n meatball soup : whole recipe' or something similar but set the serving size for that custom food to read 12 servings.
Then when you use that as a food you can select 1 serving and it should divide the whole quantity nutrition info by 12.

BTW if you often enter recipes you might think about getting the pc version which you can download and use on your computer. With it you can set up custom foods more easily by dragging foods used in a recipe into the ingredients section and saving the lot as one dish.
One drawback of this means you would have to set up all your custom foods again as you cant import from the online version.
Also you cant import your history from the online version, so it takes quite a while to copy all your weight log records etc into the pc version.
But it does mean you can use it when not able to go online, so can use it on a laptop on the go.
