    Hello Board,

    I recently discovered that I can make blackened fish and poultry at home. Is this Atkins safe? I read the ingredients and it says: spices; including celery, paprika, sugar, salt....I am hoping that this is acceptable. I also sauteed (in butter) some green and red peppers as well as some onions. I did sprinkle a half packet of splenda on it as well. Please Advise

    I love blackened foods. I probably wouldn't use that one becaise of the sugar but you can find without sugar or easily make your own. Here is a recipe from recipezaar.com

    5 teaspoons paprika 1 teaspoon dried oregano 1 teaspoon dried thyme 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1/2 teaspoon white pepper 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
