  • ? about buffalo chicken dip

so i was wondering if i could get some input on this buffalo chicken dip i was thinking about making tomorrow. it's delicious, i've had it before this WOL, and was thinking it might be induction safe. what do you think?

    16oz boneless, skinless chicken
16oz cream cheese (32 carbs total)
1cup hot wing sauce (0 carbs)

also, the recipe calls for boiling the chicken, but i was just gonna foreman it or bake it. what do you think. it makes a pretty large portion, enough to eat over 3-4 days as snacks. it's usually served with chips but i was gonna try it with some kind of veggie. thanks!!!!!!!

Sure, it's fine. Sounds yummy. Do you mix the cream cheese with the hot sauce and dip the chicken in it. I might have to try that.

different recipes suggest different perp methods. i usually melt the cream cheese in the microwave then mix the hot sauce in. i chop up the chicken in my food processor after cooking it, and then mix it in too. then i bake it in the oven in an 8x8 pan at 375 for 30 minutes. some people mix in shredded cheese, and ranch too, but i didn't want to add carbs. plus, i know it taste great without it.

another method suggest mixing just the chicken and hot sauce and pouring into an 8x8 pan, then covering the mixture with cream cheese. there are tons of variations of this recipe, just google "buffalo chicken dip".

thanks for the feedback susan. i'm gonna make it tomorrow. this dish is great if you're cooking for non-atkineers. my boyfriend doesn't do atkins and he loves this dip. he eats it with chicken flavored crackers or fritos. it's also pretty cheap to make. i haven't had it since i went on this wol, and just wanted to make sure it was induction safe. i will probably take a picture and post it in the appitizer section too.

It looks fine - just watch that you are not eating more than your 3-4 ounces of cheese per day!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
