    Hi Joyous!

Few things you may want to think about:

    1. Onions are pretty high in carbs. You could substitute a whole bunch of other veggies (spinach, cucumbers...) in this area with a lot less carbs (although, onions are perfectly acceptable for induction, just in moderation).

    2. Make sure to check your labels on the SteakUms and dressing for no hidden sugar, HFCS, etc.

    3. Make sure that you are getting plenty of water in. I was very happy to see you post "plenty of water."

Congrats on the 10 pounds lost so far! Good luck!

BTW, according to www.fitday.com, 1 cup of chopped onions has 10.93 carbs in them. Didn't know if you knew that or not...

They are acceptable, but I was suggesting that you try something else that is lower in carbs and higher in fiber to substitute for the onions (or along with the onions). It will be healthier for you in the end. I love sauteed onions myself, but know, I have to limit them, so I will not go over my carb limit for the day.

A cup of green peppers has only 7 carbs with 3 grams of fiber, so that is about 4 carbs as opposed to almost 11 net carbs in a cup of onions. If you are on induction, then that is half the amount of carbs you are trying to eat each day.

The food choices are not bad, but there are so many more choices you could choose.

Your menu looks great. I see no need to worry you are having too many onions since it appears based on your menu that you will be below 20 carbs for the day. I like that you've split them up over two meals, that is a good idea.

I agree with Grant - no problem with the onions as you are still under your max 20 net carbs. And you are doing a good job on having 'most' of your net carbs from your veggies too
The reason many Atkineers feel onions and tomatoes should be restricted in induction is because they might be eaing several eggs and their max of 3-4 ounces of cheese daily so they need to be more 'economical' with their carbs than you do!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
