    breakfast:

    bowl of total cereal, two slices of toast with butter and jam, glass of orange juice

    lunch:

    #1, big mac, large fries and large soda and 6 chicken nuggets

    dinner:

    pasta with bread, some sort of vegetable......dessert ice cream

    later snack:

    bowl of nachos with melted cheese and sour cream

      Yes... I remember... but not with any regret at all. Newcomers take note: Once the cravings are killed, you're A OK and won't miss that kind of breakfast at all.

      I wonder... is it fair to remind those who are still battling with cravings and who are new to this way of eating, of what they used to eat?

      Let's all focus on the delicious breakfasts we can have!

      This morning I had two poached eggs with parmesan, pepper and extra virgin olive oil, plus a quarter of an avocado. Yummmmmm!

        I did consider that i had erred.....but only after the post was made public . its amazing, as you say, my cravings have disappeared. and i eat three times a day, no in between eating at this time. i guess i could go for the smaller meals approach. i dont know, but what i can tell you is that......atkins and the interaction with everyone here really helps me out!!

            Not a prob Cgdat. No right or wrong... we all see these things differently , and it's awesome that your cravings have gone! Woo hoo!
            Like you I never did much snacking during the weight loss phase. Never needed to with the Atkins appetite suppression of ketosis.

            I'm wondering... we hear about lots of eggs and leftover meats/veggies for breakfast... does anyone eat anything Atkins legal but particularly unusual for breakfast? If so, do share!

              Bravo, Sally! I'd rep you again if I could.

              Anyway, I had avocado and mashed fresh pumpkin for breakfast this morning.

              Yesterday morning I had boiled eggs with a cabbage ragout I'd made the night before with ground beef, cabbage, tomatoes, cumin, and cayenne pepper. I'd call that unusual LOL

                Your cabbage ragout sounds awesome. I adore cabbage, but have never thought about cumin with it. Must give that a try, for sure.

                    This morning I had some leftover pork roast, but the unusual part was wild growing, garden picked "cicoria" (not sure if that translates to "chickory" in english, but it's like a kind of spinach, but with a bitter edge. Quite different to the supermarket cicoria). It was tossed with garlic, olive oil and chili pepper.

                      talk about good choices...well, i must tell you about a meal i had prepared yesterday. i had cut a red pepper into very small peices and and onion, some celery......and even one entire tomato......sauteed this all in a pan with shrimp. MMMMM........it was so good, and i am pretty sure it was healthy too
