Here is my menu for the day...

  • Here is my menu for the day...

    breakfast
    Quiche:
    3 large eggs
    2 mushroom
    1 thin slice of onion
    4 broccoli florets

    snack
    1 serving pork cracklings

    lunch
    1 large hamburger patty
    1 c. okra chopped

    dinner
    2 chicken drumsticks (med)
    6 small radishes
    1 oz. cheese (colby)

    snack
    Not sure if I will even have one at this point

    I am on rung 1 of the veggie OWL and have not been losing anymore. I lost about 26 pounds and then after that, it has been a week since I have lost anymore. Could this just be a stall? Am I eating too much or too many veggies? Aside from this, I am drinking more than enough water because that is ALL that I am drinking. I have completely cut out anything else. I posted something in the OWL forum and was asked if I had posted my menu on here. Please let me know what you think.


    This is the second time trying Atkins and hopefully this time it will be a permanent life change for me.

    Your menu looks fine to me. I know it's hard to look at static scales, but hang in there, as long as you keep eating right and drinking your water the scales will start to move again. It's your body adapting to change and taking a little break to adjust. You lose a LOT in a short time, a pause is pretty much inevitable after that, but it WILL move on again.

    Also you are, from the look of those challenges, doing a good amount of exercise, so you are probably building muscle, which weighs more than fat. Have you measured? It is often the case that even though the scales are stuck the inches tell a different story.

    Someone (I forget who) wrote here that they never saw a pair of jeans with a weight on them - and it's so true. The scales tell only a part of the whole story.

      I think your menu is right on! Don't worry, your not stalling, your body is just catching up to it's loss! I'm sure your losing inches as I type this...Don't give up, you can finish this!!!

        You are doing fine, like so many say, weight loss is not always a linear thing. Keep up the good work.

        What I know:
        1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
        2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
        3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
        4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

          2 poached ggs with sage and garlic salt
          3 pieces of bacon

          Lunch :
          Tofu veggie cilantro soup

          Dinner:
          Atkins Blue Cheese dressing
          Celery sticks
          Baked Lemon pepper chicken
          Fresh Green Beans

          Snack :
          Broccolli


          Restart: DEC. 16th, 2009 (why wait for Christmas)

            emmyn..your menu looks great, but are you on OWL or maintenance now that you are pregnant? You may want to ask a MOD. if you should be doing OWL or maintenance. The menu sound yummy & legal though.
