Hi I was wondering if its ok to eat these on inductions, I fry them (pickeled jalepenos) and use them as a topping on a thin chicken breast fried in butter and a bit of oil and sprinkeled with a bit of chedar cheese. also can you use fresh lemon juice on cucumbers? when I do induction I don't really eat veggies and thats partly because i dont know which ones are best to eat on induction, but I do eat about 2 cups of salad. I'm trying to sike my self up to get back on the atkins and i need to come up with a menu thats a bit more exciting, so any advice would be apprecieated.

Re: Fried jalepenos on induction???
Lemon juice is fine and cucumbers are of course fine.. Just watch out the carbs. Lemon juice is high in its carbs. As per to the rules of induction, you should limit lemon juice to two to three tablespoons a day.
As far as jalepenos, it is pepper and should be OK I think since pepper is allowed in induction. Frying them is even better, will add some fat in there.
For more recipes for the jalepenos, there is another post on that,

Re: Fried jalepenos on induction???
Einy is right, cucumbers, peppers and a couple of tablespoonsworth of lemon juice are allowed on induction. In fact there are 54 'legal' salad and other vegetables listed on the allowed list of foods for induction! As lettuce has very little nutrients in it try to choose more nutritious vegetables from the salad list like mushrooms, peppers, radishes for your 2 cups and add a cup from teh 'other list which includes broccolli, spinach etc.
We have a thread in the FAQ section (http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ead.php?t=6781) that lists the allowed foods for induction, as well as a 'wallet sized' list you can print out and have with you for reference when shopping for or planning meals (http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ead.php?t=3982).
There are several other important threads about starting induction in the FAQ forum http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...aysprune=&f=79 so pop over there and read them now to get you on the right track if you havent yet read the book!Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
