  • Let me know how this sounds.....

I am currently on Day 3 of Induction. This is what I have eaten so far today:

B: 5 Deviled Eggs (Is that too many? I LOVE them!!)
L: Tuna (w/ Dukes mayo, dill pickle, mustard and 1 egg
D: Probably a Zalad from Zaxby's (This is our "eating out" day)
    without the bread.

5 20fl oz bottles of water so far.....

If you need 5 eggs to feed your hunger (stop when no longer hungry) then go ahead and eat them.

I noticed you only have listed veggies for one meal apart from one pickle with your lunch - try and spread them through the day to even out any blood sugar spikes from your carbs.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

I don't mean 5 whole eggs!!! I'm speaking Deviled eggs. They're cut in half. In all actuality, I had 2 1/2 eggs. (Cut in half) I'm sorry if I came across wrong. I'm not THAT hungry!!!

Your menu sound fine, apart from no veg during the day as Elizellen says.

Just a word about eating out - you need to be very careful even with salads. If at all possible its a good idea to take a look at the website of the place you are eatng before you go to see have they nutritinal info available - many do. I looked at the Zaxbys site, and they have nutritional information but it's a bit hard to find - from the bottom of the page go to Site Map, and there is a link on that page.

The salads look good, as long as you skip the toast and get the grilled chicken. Their Buffalo wings are good - zero carb, so you could certainly have them the next time if you wanted to, but skip the carrots and ask for extra celery instead! Some of their dipping sauces and dressings are quite high carb, so you need to be careful about about which ones you choose.

I also love devilled eggs. usually eat between 5 and 10 a day. Mainly as a snack.

Thanks you all!!! Especially about the Zaxby's!! My 13 yr old son absolutely ADORES that place!!!! When we went there, that's what I got.... the Zalad w/ grilled chicken and NO bread whatsoever!!!!

As far as the devilled eggs.... my family LOVES them!!! So, if I keep them in the fridge, we'll all snack on them. They're soooo yummy!!!! I think I'm going to try the Pumpkin recipe tonight as well. I hope it's as good as it sounds!!
