  • Day 1- Is my menu ok?

    *three cups of warm water


    Breakfast: American coffe with hazelnut Splenda "2 gm carbs'' + 2 fried eggs with olive oil "1 gm Carb"+ 1 slice of 0% fat Chedder cheese "1.9 gm Carbs"
    *three cups of water


    Lunch : 2 Big tuna in light oil + small cup of coffee with Splenda Vanilla flavour "2gm carbs"
    *three cups of water


    Dinner:2 fried eggs + 1 cup mushrooms "3 gm Carbs"
    *three cups of water






    Total= 10 gm Carbs





    Is my new good enough? awaiting your feed back...

    You definately need alot more veggies in there. Have you read the book? The 2002 edtion of the book will give you the veggies allowed during induction. It will also tell you how this diet works. It is our "Bible" around this board. I am not an expert by any means, but I think you are under eating. You might want to watch the caffine intake too. But welcome to

      You need to eat your allowed veggies, in addition eggs do have carbs in them .6g per egg and should be counted. I would also not eat Fat Free cheese as it is processed junk (just my opinion), early on in particular having a higher fat content is fine and it acutally helps get your body to burn fat as the primary fuel and it helps make you less hungry.

      Good luck, drink lots of water, exercise and don't starve yourself eat until you are satisfied.

      1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
      2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
      3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
      4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

        Yep, I agree with the others, you need more veggies, 2 more cups in fact! MORE food, as you're just not eating enough...

        stay away from the 0% fat cheese and the light oil, you want full fat everything, otherwise they substitute it for sugars n crappy stuffs that will make you stall

        make sure your coffee is decaf!

          Yes, watch the sweetener amounts (don't know what those flavored coffee things are) and get your veggies in. If you're not losing, the first thing to go should be the coffee, after you add in your appropriate amounts of veggies and other foods of course. Don't go with the reduced fat or fat free food items. They just get additional fillers or things that aren't as good for us.

            try something more like

            Breakfast
            3 egg omlet with veggies and bacon or sausage

            Lunch
            Salad with bean sprouts or alfalfa sprouts, green pepper, tomatoe, and parmesean over spinach
            Tuna salad made with real mayo and celery and onion

            Dinner
            Salmon Steak
            Kale cooked down with onion and bacon
            Broccoli

            Snack
            Pumpkin with splenda, cinnamon and a dollop of sour cream

            This isn't a definitive answer but a good idea to go from. Make sure you do get in 2 cups of salad veggies (book specifies what constitutes as salad veggies) and one cup of regular veggies. Or 3 cups of salad veggies. You need these natural carbs for you bodys nutrients and function.
