    Is this normal for an OWL Rung 1 menu?

    Yesterday:
    Breakfast- Three sausage links, 2 eggs scrambled with mushrooms and green peppers

    Lunch- Salad with romain lettuce, mushrooms, green peppers, tomato, 5 black olives, cucumber, 1 hard boiled egg, half an ounce of shredded cheese, 1 ounce of monteray jack cheese cut into cubes, and real bacon crumbles

    Dinner- 4 hot wings (1 net carb per two wings), mini salad which is a much smaller version of my lunch salad minus the cheese cubes, but with the same amount of bacon, 1 ounce of monteray jack cheese in slices, 2 pickles.

    Total net carbs: 24

    as you didnt give measurements of veggies its hard to tell, did you have 5 net carbs more than you had on your induction menu all from veggies?

    Your hot wings seem to be quite high carbed really, does your hot sauce have sugar?

    are you using ready shredded cheese? check the ingredients, if it has added potato starch its a no-no!

    are you cooking things in fat? don't forget this is a high fat plan so you need to make sure you're getting enough in

      I'm sorry, I forgot to add my measurements for the veggies. My lunch salad is about 2 and a half cups and nine net carbs, my mini salad is about a cup and a half and 5 net carbs. The mini salad is where my 5 extra carbs come from. The hot wings say 0 g. under sugar on the ingrediants, and I rarely eat them, I just had them for dinner yesterday. The shredded cheese has no starch that I'm aware of. The package says the carbs are 1 carb per serving, which is one ounce, with 0 fiber and 0 sugar. Now I'm worried, I think maybe I'll just shred my own cheese from now on.

      I cook my eggs in butter, and according to FitDay, I usually fall in about 66% fat, 28% protein, and 6% carbs.

          I just checked the package, and sure enough! Potato starch, arg!!! I need to be a lot more dilligent when shopping, and assume nothing from now on. I'm usually so good about checking all ingrediants because I avoid high fructose corn syrup like the plague, but I foolishly assumed that cheese was just cheese. That'll teach me.
