  • Day 1

Hi Everyone, has been motivational your success stories. I have read the New Diet Revlolution and would be grateful if you could advise on my menu.

    Breakfast

Decaff coffee with single cream and 1/2 splenda
    2 rashers of bacon
    1 mushroom
    2 scrambled eggs
    spoonful chopped tomatoes

    Lunch
tuna salad (tuna in mayo, lettuce,1 spring onion ,1 slice pepper,1 radish 20g cheese)

    Dinner

    1 small rump steak
    1 large mushroom
side salad of mixed lettuce leaves

2L of sparkling mineral water throughout the day

Could you please help with alternatives for breakfast? I was trying to find the carb content for creme fraiche to have with zero carb granola

    Thanks in advance

    Karen x

    Re: Day 1

1-2 cups of salad veggie and 1 cup of regular veggie or 3 cups of salad veggies a day on induction. Your skimping on the veggies a bit but far as I can tell looks good

        Thanks again Mirya

I am a fan of salad but not of cooked veggies! I do love tomatoes though but do I have to restrict them on induction?

Tomatoes are on the 'other' veggie list so you can have one cup a day.

            Hi Emma

Thanks for your reply, I've never eaten quiche. Do you know if creme fraiche is ok? I haven't tried the zero carb granola but it would be better for me in a morning as I'm up and away to work

            Ta hun

                Re: Day 1

I found this on creme fraiche, I used to use it in mash potatoes instead of butter or put a dollop of onto frozen berries

Crème fraîche is very similar to sour cream, however its higher fat content and lower viscosity allow it several advantages. Unlike sour cream, crème fraîche can be mixed with air to form whipped cream. Furthermore, the higher lipid content (and lower protein content) of crème fraîche allow it to be directly cooked without curdling.sour cream is single cream with cultures added which thickens the cream and adds its sour note.

As for the granola, it's from the good carb company and the main ingredients are : rolled outs , wheat germ, rape seed oil fructose chopped nuts pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds.

Crap..I read the front wrong - it says 5GL per serving and I though that meant 5 carbs but obviously not..sob

That Granola is no good for induction i'm afraid
You can only eat whats on the acceptable foods list.

I'll do some research on the creme fraiche and get back to you.

Creme fraiche looks fine, but remember your cream intake is limited on induction.

watch the sugar free jelly, if its sweetened with aspartame you could have problems, may want to make your own.

i wouldnt have it on induction, just not your first 14 days, after that, try it and see if affects your weightloss, you could be okay, but it affects so many of us, stops those scales from moving!
