  • Look at my FitDay please?

I didn't pay attention to calories really until I started FitDay. I just worry some days I am not getting enough. The two previous days to today was the day before and the day of my period so my appetite was off. Also, I realize I had too much cream on some days. We are only supposed to have 2 tbs a day right? I try to keep my protein between 25 to 35% and my carbs around 5%.

    Am I hurting myself here?

On my bunless sirloin burger, I get two slices of swiss cheese, two slices of tomato, at least 4 or 5 full leaves of lettuce, two full pickle length pickle slices, and occasionally grilled onions. It is like getting a hamburger steak and salad. I have the dressing on the side which is regular mayo with peppercorns in it (I researched it on the website)

This next week, I am going to put more variety in my diet by making me a quiche for breakfast. I am also going to try to figure out something else for a snack more than pork rinds. I just needed them the first few weeks for that "crunch" factor.

    Any suggestions/critiques would be appreciated.

Oh, BTW, I tried to find ribeye on FitDay and all they have is "fat trimmed to 0" I'm sorry, but I am not trimming my fat. I love the fatty part on ribeye and prime rib. Does anyone have the "stats" for 4 oz of ribeye? or tell me where best to go to get it?

I just moved up to rung 1 two days ago and added in more spinach! Although you can't really tell it yet. I have to go grocery shopping today and I will get some cucumbers and stuff like that. I like spinach a lot. I always loved hot sauce and turnip greens growing up but I do miss the cornbread though!

Maybe you could try to work in more veggies. Broaden your repertoire a bit. You are active so keeping your calories close to your bmr and your net carbs 20-25 should work fine.

I think you're wicked low on veggies too, which is why I asked about the rungs. And low on calories, imho. Don't want your body to go into starvation mode.
BTW, if "you are what you eat" is true, I'm gonna find you a spot in my chicken coop

lol, I am trying! I was worried that is why I posted this. It concerned me too. I went to the store today and bought cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, more spinach, and cauliflower. also, when I made my quiche for breakfast, I added spinach and mushrooms to it. I also am going to start substituing the pork rinds with veggies for snacks. I used to have to have them to get me over my crunch cravings but those are past now.

I might add, my appetite has really bottomed out.

re: crunch cravings: raw slices of jicama or kohlrabi are great crunchies

I like turnips too. I should try to find some around here. I wish I liked bell peppers. I might start trying it again. Who knows, I might like them now. I never checked where they fit in because I never liked them. I do like them raw better than cooked though. Can't stand them cooked.

Re: Look at my FitDay please?

Red and yellow bell peppers add great 'crunch' as snacks with a dip or spread with cream cheese, or celery stuffed with blue cheese or pate.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
