  • Hints Appreciated!

    Please take a peek at my fitday menu and give me some advice. After two months. I'm still losing 2-3 lbs weekly and just discovered fitday, so I was hoping you experienced types would give me some tips that I might be missing.

    I know I need to add veggies, I plan on picking up some greens today.

    You really, really need to add veggies - you are eating none at all that I can see! You really need to eat your veg.

    Your protein intake seems very high to me, and your carbs very low. Just to go back to the veg - if you read the book you'll find it says that you are allowed 20 carbs a day on induction but at least half of them must come from vegetables. This automatically puts a cap on the carbs you get from elsewhere. Your carbs range from 4 -17 per day, NONE from veg.

    Most of your carbs are coming from chicken wings - unless they have some kind of coating or seasoning on them chicken wings should have NO carbs, are these in some kind of sauce? If so you should not be eating them.

    I'd be a wee bit worried about what you are eating. Bear in mind that Atkins is NOT a high protein diet. Although you will lose weight eating a load of protein and no veg, as you are doing, it isn't a healthy diet and it definitely isn't Atkins.

      The wings are seasoned with Buffalo Wing Sauce. I typically don't eat the wings, I purchased them on a whim this week (tho it looks bad seeing I just started using fitday). But I see what you are saying.
