  • 1st day induction....plz look at menu

Okay, I started my first day of induction today....This was what I had. I know there are some things that can be improved on (like not enough water and veggies) but I'll get them in. (Its hard to eat and drink that much in a day when you're not hungry or thirsty)

Breakfast: 2 frozen scrambled egg patties (1 carb each= 2 carbs)
2 slices ready to serve bacon (0 carbs)
1 piece of sausage (0 carbs)
Snack: 1 oz. mozzarella string cheese (1 carb)
Dinner: Taco Salad that consisted of:
4 oz. ground sirloin (0 carbs)
1 oz. shredded colby jack cheese (1 carb)
1 cup of shredded lettuce (1 carb)
1 tsp. taco bell restaurant sauce (to flavor meat) (0 carbs)
2 TBSP. sour cream (1 carb)
Snack: 1 oz. mozz. cheese shredded (crisped) (1 carb)
Drinks: (Shame on me) 8 oz. caffeine free diet coke
    20 oz. water

If there's anything I should leave out or something really important that I'm forgetting to add please let me know. Like I said, I know I should've gotten more veggies and water but I just absolutely couldn't eat another bite today.
If there's something that I had and shouldn't have please let me know that too!
I went to fitday and figured up my food for part of the day (just haven't finished) and my ratio was: 70% fat 26% protein 4% carbs Thanks bunches!

Work in more water. Start your day with some. Have some before and after all meals. I had waterbottles in all rooms when I started. Helped he drink it.

As you said, more veggies. Work on working those in. Lettuce can be good but not really a very substantial veggie. Find something with more nutrients and substance.

And read the ingredient list of the foods you are using. Sometimes there may be sugar in products like taco sauce and sausage.

But generally a good start, I thought. Fitday will really be a help.

Don't miss/skip meals. For me it's breakfast but I noticed you didn't eat lunch. Your body will store up fats & water if it thinks you are going on a diet. Plus, regular meals keep your blood sugar from spiking when you do eat.

Good job & keep us posted!
